Does anyone here likes Savages' debut album? I think it's a powerful work but perhaps a bit too close to 80's post punk (which I love, of course, but it's a bit weird to find a new band sounding so much like the old bands). Oh, and of course the singer sounds frequently very close to Siouxsie...

No one interested? Anyway, I suppose Youtube must have at least a couple of videos by them, so you can easily check them (too bad my access to Youtube is blocked...). It's curious that it is an all-female band, something that is kind of rare in the history of rock music (I remember the Raincoats, I think, the Slits (before Budgie joined them)... I think X-Mal Deutschland was also all-girls... But I can't remember any other examples right now).

Yes I am. Sadly I got to admit I didn't get round to buying their album (yet), but the live show (or radio session?) I did catch on the net last year was really pretty good!  :smth023
