hmm I have no idea what time (how early) people usually rock up to these events...we'll have to wait and see....and yes, I'd love to be able to get some merch despite the(exorbitant?)prices..haha... ouh, it's good to hear you can still get a camera in...I'd love to keep some record...just to prove to myself it actually happened and I wasn't dreaming it all!...(cherry red..nice to meet you...I hope you get to meet some of us Curefans at the concert.... :) ps: I love the siouxsie sioux look! love it! makes me wish I knew how to apply makeup...haha)...

Oh, and Juan, hopefully 50 other people aren't wearing the same kiss me kiss me kiss me shirt...that could cause some confusion...

If you have missed out on tickets to see THE CURE in MELBOURNE like a lot of people contact the primary promoter "Michael Coppel Presents" to request a 2nd Melbourne show.
The email address is :
mcpinfo@coppel.com.au
(I've been told by RRR Radio who are the secondary promoters for the Melbourne show it's worth emailing "Michael Coppel Presents" to show them the demand is there).

LetterToSaraElise - Cheers for your help on the camera thing... I'm going to take it and just have it in my bag and if they say I can't take it in, then so be it! It's not a professional camera by any means... and there is no telephoto lens or whatever, so I believe I should be ok with it!!!
kissingcrimson - Cheers for your nice comments on my 'look'! I have actually since moved on from that particular hairdo, and am shaved now... but the make-up remains the same, I have an overly weird obsession with Siouxsie and Mr Smith's make-up styles! (I have even taken inspiration from Mrs Smith! from a photo I once saw of her!!) If it were possible and you wanted me too, I would do your make-up for you!
Juan & everyone else... I'm really worried now about getting there early to make it close to the stage! I'm going to stress over this now! and what about buying merchandise! I can't miss out on a programme or tour shirt!!! I may have to get my partner to come and buy stuff for me while I'm in there????? Hmm, dilemma's are all around me. Also... and this is VERY selfish, but how I feel! I would hate for there to be another Melbounre show... as I would want to attend that one too... so I really hope they don't announce another show, as I'm in Tassie and I have paid for my flight and stuff there already, and another show would just really piss me off as I wouldn't be able to go to it!!!
I also have on idea what to wear! I have a few Cure shirts. As I'm sure you all do! But I kinda thought it might be naff to wear a Cure shirt there?! Maybe it would be ok... show your a real supporter?! But then I'm not sure what Melbourne weather will be like... ah f*ck it, this is all getting far to hard!! I need a cup of tea... chat to you all again soon! :smth023

I reckon the fact you're travelling from Tassie to Melb proves you're a fan [that and going to the show...] so you could be a wanker like me and wear a band shirt that will conflict with the norm - i reckon I'll have a TOOL shirt on when i see them...

regardless though, enjoy the show, it's going to be a pealer...

I couldn't afford to go to another show even if there was one.   :(
I've spent over $550 on concerts this year alone, and I'm never gonna get a car at that rate.

Cherry red, thanks for the offer thats so sweet! If it were possible I'd love you to do my makeup for me...reminds me of a Siouxsie song...haha.. it's going to be stuck in my head today :)

I have a question...Will you all (including those travelling from interstate or overseas) be in Melbourne the day before the concert (Sat/11)? It would be nice to have a sort of "Curedrink" of our own. Get a few Curefans together, chat over a few drinks? hmmm

to AGRO - GARBOS  aka Juan....I added you!

cheers

kissingcrimson, I'm wondering what Siouxsie song your thinking of??!!
I unfortunately will not be in Melbourne the day before, I arrive on the Sunday and leave on Monday... I'd be up for a 'meet & greet' drinkythingymebob on the Sunday however... I would also be happy to meet people at a bar in the Rod Laver Arena before the gig starts!! I'm thinking I will have to be there early to try and get close to the stage anyway... so some company whilst I'm queuing would be good!!!!
juanzor... I'm going to send you a message thru your email ok mate! shame your not in GA as I am!

I am having a thought... perhapes you might like to join me in this = I am contemplating trying to get backstage after the gig to meet the Band. However I doubt very much I will achieve this aim! I have only ever gone backstage once before, and I had connections for that, so this time around I'll be flying blind (as it were!)... I wanted to know if there is anyone else thinking the same as moi, maybe we could join forces and bombard the defences and make it through!! The Band are really cool at meeting with fans, so I'm cheered by that knowledge! I am of the opinion that this is their last tour to our shores (unless they do a farewell the world tour!!) and if I am going to meet them, this is it!

I happen to know where the 'stage door' (or at least, the most commonly used one) is.  However you can't really get to it as it's on a lower level than the walkway out of the Arena.  You can look over a sort of balcony to where the cars come and drop them straight at the door, but as far as I know, you can't get down there (unless you know a long, roundabout back way, which I don't.)  However, I'll be at the arena for another show just over a week beforehand, and I'm going to be trying to get down there anyways, so I'll check it out for you guys. (Although anyone with tips for doing this is greatly appreciated.)

yay thanks! That's right, We must investigate the premises in advance and work out our plan of attack  :)...

Meeting them is a Once in a lifetime chance...I'ts worth a try! :smth023...I've always wanted to...If I work up the courage...I'll join forces! :)

I'll be queuing for GA too, so I'm sure we'll (most of us) will meet somewhere in the midst...on the day before or after the concert...

ps: Cherry red..The song I was thinking of was "make up to break up"....for some reason  :?
