Feeling a little crazy? :rocker Does anyone want to try their luck and go halvies on the Cure ticket auction???? I know this is a long shot...and I really shouldn't be putting myself in the position to splurge so much of my money...but I want to bid for the set of 2 tickets to meet and greet the Cure backstage and VIP seating passes close to the stage!....( i need to get a paypal account first...because the amnesty international ebay auction only has about a day to go!!)If the passes sell at ~$600AUD,it's approx $300 each I'm willing to pay that much(it's for a good cause)... but I know it's highly likely the auction will probably go for way more...but it's worth a try isn't it? Unfortunately I can't afford the 2 tickets on my own...and I wouldn't know anyone else who'd want to meet them too :)

what say you cureheads?  :D

Well the auction went for over $1000....more than I could ever afford. I just hope the person who won it appreciates the rare honour they've been given and trully has the time of their life! Congrats. I wish it was someone from here though..because at least then they could share with us their stories of meeting them! it looks like it's back to the drawing board for us...approaching the band as soon as they arrive at the arena..roaming around their hotel room...haha...what else??

I guess if we're just lucky to catch a glimpse that would make my day...month..year..life

:(   did my best just hope it's a true fan and not someone just trying to make a packet

Thanks for you efforts Billee! you rock....US??....:( oh how unfortunate..It didn't even get in the hands of an Aussie fan..that's sad cosidering there will be almost 20  US shows...and the same charity auctions happening there....

Bloody Hell! Thats so much money... and soo very unfair! But I guess if I had the cash I would pay to see and meet 'em! It kinda sucks that this goes on really... But then if I was the winner, I wouldn't complain! Bloody yanks! LOL!! It would be nice to know who it was and get a run down of it! but I guess we will never know.
sigh - I'm depressed now! :(

I know this is a bit off topic...curespotting...on the last page of today's Beat magazine there was a short article (and caricature of Robert) about Robert Smith becoming the new face of Lorea'l ...because He's worth it...i don't know if it's for sure but..... i always thought MAC was his makeup of choice....haha

Just disappointed that a U.S buyer won the auction. I could be completely off track but I doubt if they'd be travelling half way around the world to see and meet the Cure especially when they are doing a U.S tour anyway. As I said in a previous post I hope it is a genuine fan and not someone out to make money. Sorry for venting but I am bitterly dissappointed. :(

vent it out Billee, I think a lot of us (especially on here) feel the same. As other people said, a charity raffle may have been more fair....I guess unless you have a whole wad of cash..in this situation...you probably always will end up second best. If this winner wasn't a genuine fan ..it would be very dissapointing...I hope they don't try to make money out of it...scamming a charity and scamming genuine fans....hmmm... that's low :smth011....but I shouldn't make assumptions... It would be less dissapointing if perhaps the bidder/s were genuine fans from Aus... being average curefans ourselves we might have been in the same league as one another..and therefore in with a chance. It just puts a damper on everything...but I guess we must look on the bright side...we're going to the concert at least...I couldn't ask for too much more..(although it would be nice :P)..and 25 days to go!

I just noticed there's a cure ticket competition going on through optus...
see here   http://www.optuszoo.com.au/competitions/cure_2007/info
I know most of us here already have tickets..here's your chance to win 2 more (to brisbane/sydney or melbourne) haha :)
you have to anwswer in 25 words or less what is your favourite Cure song and why? and I think you have to be either a optus web or phone customer...

difficult question..but do-able if you're forced to choose
