Haha! thanks Juanzor! Well I shall tell you all how today's happy events unfolded! I woke up, caught the first train into the city ( got there at 5.30am). I couldn't sleep all night because I was paranoid some dedicated Cure fans would camp out in the cold.... I was the first there...so I calmed down. Later I was joined by some Great people (cheers going out to the ticketek line)...no 14 year old hardcore emo's to be seen! just average people, from the age of c 20-50. it was so much fun...despite the mild hyperthermia we suffered it was woth it! I got GA tickets..there isn't a specified section..but my ticket has a number 11 on the bottom I'm not sure if that means anything...maybe it's a row :( the others in the line managed to score some top seat row A in the fron sections next to the stage! I'm looking forward to meeting you all there...you wont miss me...I plan on wearing a t shirt with big (kissing) crimson lips on it! haha
And yes maybe now i can get some sleep

xx

Only UPPER level is left for the Melbourne show.
Not bad considering tickets have only been on sale to the general public for 5 hours.

Wow, congrats, I certainly admire your dedication.  I'm glad you got GA. Maybe only the portion of tix for GA being sold online were sold out.  Either way.  I'm stil waiting for my ticket in the mail, so when it comes we can compare and try and figure out this numbering business.

Hi Kissing  sooo happy you got your tickets. I will look out for the "Lippy T Shirt" at the concert. Will come up if I see you and introduce myself. I'll be the old chook named Lee-Anne  :D
The other one feeds on my hesitation
Grows inside of my trepidaton
Buries his claws in my dislocation
I whisper your name to lose control

Well, my ticket finally arrived in the mail yesterday.  It only says GA1 in tiny writing down the very bottom, so I'm guessing it doesn't mean anything.  Just 1st in, best dressed like a regular show.  In all honesty, this is the first time I'll have been in GA for a show.  I've tried for other shows before, but never got it before it sold out.

I am a 33 year old Cure-ie and will be attending the Rod Laver Arena Gig.. I am going solo, and although I have no problem with that, it might be nice to meet with some other Cure-ies on the night :)... I am a lone Cure fan in that absofuckinlutely no-one around me likes them... it's a very lonely place ! So if your going and are intersted in meeting me, I think it would be very nice to meet you :smth023! I have gotten a general admissions standing room ticket and I hope to be able to get close to the stage.. however I'm not overly bothered as being there is enough! I'm also going to take a camera too... I did read past enteries on recording equipment... I have yet to read further, but what about cameras? I've never understood why Bands ban you taking in cameras... but then I'm not in it for money, so I suppose they have a legit reason for you not having them in there... my camera is a tad on the bulky size, and I'm not sure how I can smuggle it in! I really would like to have a few pic's of the boys up there on stage, but mostly I would love to take pictures of the fans themselves - specially the gothic types! I am fascinated with how people dress themselves!!! I absolutley love so called 'weird' people...

I went to the Sydney 2000 and Brisbane 2000 shows alone - and it was magical.. as far as i'm concerned i was the only one there.. I'm taking my fiancee this time but i've already laid down the "no talking during songs" rule.. :-D

Probably the most important rule.  :smth036

Though I'm the type who tends to sing along, somewhat to my shame.

Who else sings at shows?
Another Curefan for The Dark Christmas album.

My experience with cameras at Rod Laver is limited, but as far as I know, they're allowed so long and they're not professional cameras. The difficult thing is to define what constitues a professional camera.  I think it's something to do with the amount of zoom.  From my experience, there's usually a sign outside the venue with more specific details about what you're allowed.  The last show I went to there, I was stressed out about hiding my camera, but the guard saw it, and nothing was said.  It's a Canon Powershot A85.  By no means professional, but it does the trick. If you're really stressed, baggy pockets are often a way to go, basically, they don't/can't check on your person.

How early do you think we should get there for a good spot?  Jostling for good spots in GA hardly makes it possible to buy merch.  As for singing along, that's a big part of the fun!
