"Four curious friends?" Matthieu Hartley, Perry Bamonte, Boris Williams & Pearl Thompson?

That means actually Simon, Jason, Roger and Reeves - my limited view after 24 hours.

I don't think so. He said in the interview that he "trapped" himself somehow, because Hyde Park was announced as "the only Cure show", so when "Meltdown" came along, it became clear that he'll have to do "something different" than a "normal" Cure show.
We'll have to wait and see. I myself do guess it will be "friends" of Robert from other bands, especially those who play at Meltdown. (E.g. someone from Mogwai...)

You may very well be right.  I guess it's just 'wait and see' at this point.

I'm not going to buy a ticket. Not today at least. Maybe on Monday. I don't know.
I'm convinced that the major event will take place in July - that's the point.

Today's pre-sale for South Bank Centre members is, as expected, sold out. General sales for an unknown % of tickets is this Monday.

General sale commences on Monday 10:00 AM London time. I wonder how many of the 2,500 tickets will be put for sale.

But who will Robert be preforming with??

"by four of his curious friends – and other, imaginary accompanists"

Let the speculation begin! :)

Taking this verbatim, I'd say the current line-up plus Lol and Michael (in whatever capacities).

God...I hope Trent Reznor,

Could be.

Banshees? That would be THREE curious friends.
It would be four if you added Martin McCarrick, who btw, was in The Glove before joining the Banshees.
But I don't know wether McCarrick and Severin get on well these days or not.

And as far as I'm aware, there is no way Sioux and Robert will ever play together again.
And Severin and Budgie, as far as I'm aware, won't be playing together again, either.
The split between Glove and Creatures was very real for quite a long time.
Is it still so? Not sure, as Sioux and Severin seem to have signed peace, but only after Severin's illness.

And Sioux's voice confronted with Robert's... that hurts, Sioux's great, but she lost a lot of vocal range.
While Robert keeps most of his vocal range (which is not just a little, just listen to New Day!!).
I don't think Sioux would like that.

Robert and Severin, on the other hand... I'd like to listen to Punish Me With Kisses live ONCE.
And Spellbound once again, I'd love that. But... sung by whom? Robert definitely can't play AND sing that, it is too difficult. Even McGeoch struggled with it on a bad day.
Besides, Severin playing bass guitar live? After his surgery? Not sure that's a possibility. I wish he could though, he's great.
If he couldn't, Severin could shift to keys, Robert to bass, and... Pearl on guitar? Pearl was in the Blue Sunshine sessions anyway, and it can't be McGeoch because he's no longer among us. Oh, why not asking Andy Anderson? Andy is the Glove drummer.

If it weren't clear enough, I miss The Glove and The Banshees very much.

My gut feeling says he has been invited by Robert too. That would be awesome!

Gotta agree on this. I love Siouxsie, but she jus't can't hit high notes anymore, her voice has gotten worse over time. She can't hold a candle to Robert

Sorry to hear that.  :(
No big surprise though.

It seems that calling to the box office was easier to get the tickets than on the Internet. If I knew before...
