hi there,
arrived yesterday from my florida-vacation with the deluxe editions of "head on the door" and "the glove" in my luggage. first impressions of "head on the door" are disappointing (that's for cd no. 2). didn't know what to expect but the unreleased titles are bad, but i do like the version of "a few hours after this". on the other hand the second cd of "the glove" is great, because of the vocal versions by robert.

[labyrinth]

still waiting them :(
cdwow has some kind of troubles especially on "The Top"... so they haven't despatched them yet...

According to my ears that have been listening to The Cure for 13 years, the vocals were recorded within the past two years. ;)

yeah, it's hard to believe that the vocals are from 1983.

He is (I believe) referring to all of the RS vocals on the second disc of Blue Sunshine.

I haven't heard it for myself yet (no money at the moment), but the word is that Robert re-recorded the vocals.

Severin claims the vocals were all recorded in '83, but most fans are sceptical.
Another Curefan for The Dark Christmas album.

I only plan on getting "The Top". I have the original pressing by Sire Records on CD and LP, but my OCD is making me worry about playing the original CD and vinyl too much, and the CD edition of the Sire pressing is ANCIENT as far as I know, but I could be wrong.
