if you would have the chance to choose, who would you spend your life with?
(wife/husband or gf/bf or lover, can't be included in the answer)
David.
Do you mean somebody famous???
;)
just 2 options
Kate Beckinsale or Mia Kishner
:rocker
ok please feel to shoot me for being over-serious and a complete bore but one just cannot make this kind of picks...
at least i wouldn't like to spend the rest of my life with someone i don't even know...
if the question was with whom i'd be glad to spend a week or two or so, then that's different - but my entire life...? uuuh...
(ok i'm a boring dumb*ss - but this it's too irrational... )

Scarlett Johanson or Joanna Newsom.
Lips of Scarlett Johansson, some parts of nicole kidman, kindness of Helen Keller, intelligence of Cleopatra, some parts from Britney Spears... You just have to make it :)

ok since i already blew it i now feel obliged to continue on my chosen path and harrass this topic.. .
because in polls like this nobody ever seems to pick a person who isn't BOTH good-looking AND wealthy...
so confess it, folks: it's a nice cover-up but in the end everyone's just thinking about the money...

Ok, the reason why I open this topic is because my girlfriend asked me this, and I answered her "can it be a guy?" (just for kidding). And she say yes and I said....
Robert
But I was just kidding...and now she bother me with this all the time. "The man you would spend your life with..." you know :?
But indeed I wanted to say Rachel Goswell from Slowdive...but of course she does not trust me

hmm well whatever i guess - because by all means, i think you can have him by now if you want! ;)
because as we all know, it's so sad and tragic... but things like this, they never last. "the rest of one's life" is such a funny fragile concept in when you're "planning your life" like this... here today, gone tomorrow - it's all so very earnest honest and made to last. (or alternatively it only proves that none of us really doesn't plan to live very long when making our choices? hahaha)
so, today: today i might like to spend the rest of my life with... hey hmm yes, how about mr. cool simon gallup? because he's kind of super-cool today - and i think we'd be simply hyper-cool together... yes i think we'd be utterly mind-blowing, really!
but then again, ask me again after a few days and you know what i'll tell you... :smth011
but how about you? let's hear it!

oh but i believe wisdom's not thy name mister:
i'd call it either "cowardly escaping one's serious responsibilities" or "being simply annoying and in non-cooperative spirits".
besides, it won't last anyway so what's the harm?
(see, an example: planning my gorgeously amazing future and the magical "rest of my life" alongside with mr. gallup started becoming boring already. so he just got the boot a minute ago.
next?)

I adore his hair.
Who would I spend the rest of my life with?
That's ridiculously easy.
A bird.
I've got a cat at the moment, but sadly, he won't be around forever. So, pets die. Girlfriends come and go (or sometimes they don't... but you never find out until they do...).
However, once my cat passes on, if I consider another pet, I'm considering a bird. Yeah, they're expensive, but live for freaking ever. I'll be 30 soon. Larger birds (I'm thinking an African Gray) can live upwards of 40-50 years. I figure I can grow old and retire and live out my life with it.
And they talk - I mean, how cool is that?
:smth023
after reading what you said, i'm maybe considering getting a giant tortoise.
IF i'd ever consider getting a pet. which i don't. but anyway.
and boyfriends? well to tell you the truth i'm afraid have no faith left in any of them, past or future. just a bunch of selfish self-centered gits with mother complexes anyway, all of them. (huh sorry guys but...)
so yeah, i think i'd get well along with a tortoise, just slowly growing really really ooooooold together and neverminding anyone else around us...
Don't think that I haven't considered a tortoise! :smth023
On one hand, they live 150+ years...
...on the other, they can't perch on your shoulder, and they don't speak.
That's very important.
I've got the "training" already planned. I'm just going to compile playlists of beat-boxing, old/early analog synth, and audio from Beavis & Butt-Head episodes, to repeat all day, whenever I'm out of the house.
Oh, and girls are equally insane. They've cornered the market on "trap" questions/situations where there is no right answer, but one is demanded. Or can find fault in anything should they choose to...
I've come to the conclusion that they really run things.
In fact, I've gone so far as to come to the corollary conclusion that since they run things, they're responsible for a lot of the stupid guys out there. Because you know that if women as a whole chose not to put up with a lot of their nonsense, they wouldn't do it. Unfortunately, the female species has some weak links that enable some of the real meat-heads out there.
(Before someone jumps down my throat, calling me a misogynist, it's not an entirely serious thought. But then again, think about it... I might be onto something.)
But let's face it... everyone is self-centered, useless and insane, to a point.
And the fact is that you're in good shape if you're fine with yourself (sometimes the hardest thing to achieve)... because no matter what, you're kinda stuck with yourself for the long haul.
well i definitely do know some stupid girls too. but are you honestly saying that it's sort of women's "fault" if men are stupid?
wow well... but couldn't one just as well say then that women wouldn't cause all that unless men were so damn stupid in the first place?
so which one camefirst the egg or the hen, the egg or the hen, the egg.....?
yeah tortoises don't speak. i think i'd personally find that really relaxing. i guess i like the company of mute animals.
