Ulrich

Good speech by Trent, nice to hear he started with "Head On The Door" as well!

...I'd rather use that allocated time to play some music... thank you very much!

Very well said by Robert!  :smth023

Who's the guy between Boris and Trent? Perry's brother per chance?

has to be Chris Parry.

Pearl Thompson not too happy on Instagram:

I think he wished ex-members took part on yesterday's The Cure live set. I agree with Pearl that it would have been amazing to see former members playing songs from the band's best era (after all Lol, Pearl, Boris and Perry were part of the band's best recordings). Personally, I share his frustration.

Update 31/03/2019: Pearl removed his post on Instagram.

I mean, he is not in the band anymore, so it would been also kinda awkward to play with current members staring.
Understand his frustration, but if i was Reeves for example i may have felt also uncomfortable if he was replaced even for just one song. And would been even worse if most of the band was replaced...
Also people would start to compare current members with former ones.... and those things usually end in pointless discussions.
I also think Robert isn't exactly comfortable in these events so probably went the fastest way, talk as less possible, play a bit and bye bye

And do we know if all members get along with the rest, former and current ones?
Hopefully all them left the band for 'good' reasons and not personal problems.

I would have played "Shake Dog Shake" and "Forest" with the current Cure line up, "Friday I'm In Love" (instead Lovesong) and "Just Like Heaven" with Boris, Pearl and Perry instead Jason, Reeves and Roger and "Boys Don't Cry" with the three imaginary boys Lol, Michael and Bob. Wouldn't have been perfect and everyone would have been happy? But OK, this is just a dream :)

Funny how bored the ex-members look when they're watching the current line-up play!  XD

...and I thought it was Michael Dempsey.

Thanks, I knew I'd forgotten someone when I considered the old members who could be there!!
He looks very different (is my excuse)...

For the fans, sure, I'd love to see something like that.
But i guess it is difficult to manage.
Maybe the place to do that was Hyde Park show, with the last encore played by former members as a tribute.

No problem. He stood so close to Lol on the Red Carpet that I assumed it must have been him.
Epic scene indeed (with Carrie, Perry and Boris). Love them all. 😉

Some photos from yesterday:

Nice to see 2 ex-members sporting little goatee beards - which I've done for 12 years, the trendsetter that I am!  ;)

Pearl Thompson not too happy on Instagram:

The post is not longer available on Instagram, I don't think he changed his opinion, but probably he realised it was not appropriated.
