Seems the rumor is true and Christmas will come a bit early to Seattle.   :-D  I put on my detective hat and found this:

http://rightarmentertainment.com/upcomingshows.html

12.15.09         WAMU Arena
Seattle, WA    DECK THE HALL BALL
Muse, 30 Seconds to Mars, Phoenix, Metric, Vampire Weekend

But what's up with 30 Seconds to Mars?  At least I'll have a chance to hit the bathroom and grab a drink before Muse.  Either that or I can stand there and "BOOOOOOOOOOOOO" for 45 minutes.

i'm glad he's back on more or less weird/goofy clothes, like that granny coat on q awards haha.
normally i don't care what people wear on stage, just as long they wear something decent enough and focus on playing well. but here for me it's part of the mood, a little bit of extra flamboyance.

It's a good thing you didn't post a pic of him in that suit sitting behind a piano or I might have thought you woke the dead and were seeing Liberace!  :P

Looks like it's the red suit for the animated Matt, though.

Finally, that's nice. I was expecting it as the word is they played it on the Glasgow soundcheck, so they were rehearsing it.
Now they should just keep it in the setlist... and not do like they did with 'Exopolitics' on the last tour. I hope this wasn't just something for Birmingham only.

I don't think it'll be a one time thing.  There's been a lot of message board chatter and even some booing going on at shows.  Seems they've finally gotten the message.  And it could be that they just didn't have that one down, yet.  Not enough rehearsal or production wasn't complete.  Something along those lines.  Who knows?  Just glad it was played.  Now if they'd bring back Cave!  Oh, and play 20 songs instead of 1-18. Fans will still have something to complain about, though.

Nice pics and video, jb.  :smth023  I had seen a few photos from Cologne and thought the same about Matt's gasses.  8)  Was also thinking he must have visited Dom's tailor.  :P

Tour dates have been updated.  A handful of 2010 stadium shows are popping up.  The US dates should be announced shortly after the radio shows.

i wonder if they'll add more stadium shows in june/july or will go play festivals instead.

btw i don't even really like saying this because i still do have some of my old respect for U2 intact, but i think Muse are SO going to make U2 too look old and tired when they support them. after matt i don't know what sould save bono from sounding like he was reciting his lyrics instead of singing. i think it's a suicide support choice for them - hey good luck bono.....

I'd imagine some festivals or maybe both.  They're rumored to be in talks to play Glastonbury.  I'd think they'd fill in those gaps between the already announced stadium dates with gigs in Europe.  Those gaps do fall right in the middle of festival season.  ;)

I just thought you meant a show in the future as it sounds like U2 will headline the 40th anniversary Glastonbury Festival this year with Muse getting another night.  My guess is U2 will close the festival.  Like it or not, U2 is still the biggest act in the world.  Not sure why anymore.  The new songs are a far cry from their good old days and it seems the gigs are more about "the glitz and glammer" instead of the music.  Of course I say that days after I bought a pair of $113 tickets to see U2 next summer.    But that's the way it is.  Everyone knows a U2 concert is an event to be at.  Maybe to be scene at?  Muse still have a ways to go.  While they're huge in Europe, they've yet to make it big in the US.  They are gaining popularity and it will be something to see if they can fill arenas this Spring.  My guess is the top levels will be blocked off, though.  But let's give them time.  After all, not every great bands plays to sold out stadiums around the world.  In fact, I'm glad some don't.  ;)
