Important event info

We've collated all the important information so you can get the most out of your day at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park 2018. The main points to be aware of are:

This is a fully standing event. Seats and chairs of any kind not permitted into the event. This includes seat sticks and inflatable seats.

No food or drink is permitted to be brought into BST Hyde Park (With the exception of water in unopened plastic containers of up to 500ml, and baby food where not in glass containers).

Banners that are constructed of bendable materials – i.e cardboard/paper up to A1 in size are permitted, including banners that have battery-powered fairy lights on them.

We will not allow large bags into the event but you will be permitted to take small bags and handbags in with you. We class small bags as no larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm or standard handbags.

To quicken speed of service and provide a great customer experience BST Hyde Park is designed to make cashless payment the preferred method throughout the event. All bars, food traders and concessions accept Chip & PIN payment as well as contactless payment (up to £30) and this is the quickest and most efficient way of paying – so there is no need to bring cash to the event!

If however you require cash there are cashpoints available at the north of the site. These cashpoints accept credit cards and foreign cards. Please note that there will be a charge for each withdrawal in addition to any account provider charges.

Customer welfare

Please look out for each other. We have a dedicated Welfare Team and Medical Service by the North Entrance.
It is very hot! Please bring and regularly apply a high factor sun cream, even if it’s cloudy.
Hats are also recommended to help project yourself from too much sun.
Stay hydrated throughout the day – drink plenty of water.
Be Drink Aware. Please drink responsibly and know your limits.

Environmental sustainability

We take event sustainability very seriously. Please help us to minimise single-use plastic by recycling plastic cups at the dedicated bins. There is also a 'no plastic straw' policy across the festival and bars, and all food packaging and cutlery is biodegradable!

Alright, no hurry, looking forward to this too. It was just a bit worrying to hear nothing from no-one...
I did read your post about the fan meeting, thank you!  :cool

  • Jane says I ain’t ever been in love...
Sorry! Went straight to Barcelona on the Sunday from Gatwick and took us a while to recover from the amazing weekend we had, meeting loads of lovely people (including David and Tessi) and from the two hours of heaven where we danced and sung our hearts out.

Wonderful  :heart-eyes

Wished you had made it Ulrich, would of been fantastic to see you :)

I had a similar thought, especially when I read your post that you were there at the fan meeting with your daughter...  :'‑(
Hopefully another time!

Ah, we will. A few weeks here in the sun and beside the sea will do us a world of good.

I know! She loved it all, especially being at the fan meeting even though she was really tired from a long day of travelling. Next time, I really hope you’ll be there :)

I'm looking forward to read it, it was unexpected and not planned to be there on Friday, but I was dreaming that I was on the concert on saterday all alone, lost in the crowd and missing my longtime Cure-friends around me. So glad I was a bit impulsive but after all I'm glad I was. It was a great weekend with a lot off friendly lovely people by my side. I still miss my voice :-)
