Why is it when you're supposed to be doing something, instead, you end up looking at weird things on google?

...maybe because it's romantic?! And this is still Curefans. Can't believe it.

You've lost me a little MM. What is romantic? Looking at eyes? What can't you believe?

Not sure, but I think he meant it's "romantic" to look up weird stuff on google instead of doing "important" things...
Can't you see I try? Swimming the same deep water as you is hard...

In my mind is the Germany - Peru match this Sunday in Frankfurt... looking forward to it! :)

The videos aren't so bad. In "damaged goods" he (CRP) described a situation
which I had once experienced 1:1 during my first (and only) marriage. The absence
of the father (at work or dead) was a feature with both women. "Damaged goods" is
rhetorically brilliant, but Schopenhauer analyzed exactly the same 200 years earlier (!)
and it seems as if nothing has changed since then.

A "happy end" - as suggested - is very unlikely. I do not judge or hate her. The door is slightly ajar...

whispering...Happy Birthday.

Just had a wee phone call from a long lost friend  :happy It's hard to believe how much time has elapsed since we last seen each other. It nice to know that he's happy and well and that I'll get to see him soon the same way I remember him. Oddly, of course, I was just thinking about him the other day as well!

What's that old chestnut The Secret sold, thinking things into reality?

I didn't read the book.

Take it easy. He's meanwhile regarded as a writer and not necessarily as philosopher.
You will find a lot of English quotes in his writings, e.g.

Quote from: ByronSuch as we know is false, yet dread in sooth,
Because the worst is ever nearest truth.

He translated the Oraculo from B. Gracian as well. Someone gave me a copy when
I was in my twenties. He is important, but I've collected others too.

I'm not even sure whether you're both talking the same subject here! ("The Secret" is a book which was quite popular 15 years ago or so. Basic message was that the universe will send you what you wish for... And no, I haven't read it either.)

You just cleared that comment up for me. I didn't even connect the dots between the two  :1f636:
