What is the best site for Cure guitar tabs?  (I've yet to find anyone with decent Pornography, The Top, or The Cure[album] tabs!)

all of the cure tabs i've found online are pretty weak too, but some have been at least a bit helpful in finding my way to figure it out on my own and by watching live videos and such.  in fact even in the 'wish' and 'disintegration' tab books there are tons of ridiculous mistakes.
just out of curiousity which songs are you looking for?  i don't really know how to play anything on 'the top' (but 'caterpillar') but i used to know most (if not all) of 'pornography.'

I hear that.

My favorite part: For the solos on From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea and Cut, it just says "ad lib".

= the person transcribing it couldn't figure it out.

hahaha
and when i think of it that some person got paid for "transcribing" those - wow that must have been really hard work!!

but the problems of transcribing certain pieces of music - somehow this "ad lib" brings back to mind certain mr. john cage...
and i don't mean just 4'33 this time (or well, i suppose doing nothing sort of qualifies for "ad lib" too doesn't it?
but some of his other works with performance instructions like:

on "Imaginary Landscapes No. 4" (1951)
That's written for 12 radios and 24 performers. Cage specified exact tunings and volume levels on each radio, even though he had no idea whether a radio station existed at that tuning. Each performer would turn their radio to the assigned settings. There are 12 more performers than radios in this piece of music...

or:

"0'00" (1962)
Performer appears on-stage with a cart of vegetables and an electric blender. Performer proceeds to feed the vegetables into the blender to make juice, the noise of the blender being amplified through loudspeakers. Performer drinks the juice.

I'm trying to learn In Between Days on guitar, something more simple since I'm pretty new at it, but the tabs I've found don't sound right:

They say you should just switch between A and D most of the time, basically, but that doesn't really fit during "go on, go on, just walk away"....And it's obvious you're supposed to play four different tabs during "but it COULDN't be me, and be HER in betwEEN without YOU", but most people just write out three, something like BM, E, A. Hard to figure out which one the third of the four is by myself...

Pretty much everything you need to know can be seen right here:

The only difference is that Robert ended up using only a low E chord in the Bm - E sequence, whereas he alternates it with a higher E chord in this "demo" version.

If you can't figure out exactly what his hands are doing (YouTube quality is awful, I know), I can make a tab of the chords...

Dang, looks kind of tricky...but I aim to excel!

That would be very helpful, yes. Thanks a million!

'inbetween days' is an easy one-
here are all of the chords-
these are the verse chords- the reason that a normal D chord doesn't sound right is because it's a Dmaj7 (i suspect it's really the result of laziness on robert's part as he just barres his index finger at the 2nd fret for both chords) but they are tabbed like this-
      A    Dmaj7
e--0----2----
b--2----2----
g--2----2----
d--2----0----
a--0---------
e------------

the pre-chorus is also just two chords-
     Bm       E
e--2-----0----
b--3-----0----
g--4-----1----
d--4-----2----
a--2-----2----
e--------0----

it's not tricky- you'll get the hang of it very quickly.

But these "professional" tab books often have mistakes. It's really embarrassing sometimes.

For the verse, try the following (notice the highest string is never played).

The A chord is all barred with the index finger on the 2nd fret, and the Asus4 quickly follows by placing your third finger on the third fret (this can all be seen in the video above).

   A  Asus4 Dmaj7

e--------------
b--2----3---2-
g--2----2---2-
d--2----2---0-
a--0---------0-
e--------------

And for the chorus:

  Bm    E    E5
e-------0-----
b--3----0-----
g--4----1----9
d--4----2----9
a--2----2----7
e-------0-----

The E5 is higher chord as seen on the clip from Staring at the Sea....

true. these printed sheet music books are also sometimes pretty bad and inaccurate.
