From the newsletter I received today:

QuoteAudio fragments from Mixes Of A Lost World have been pressed to vinyl acetate

A number of independent record stores worldwide – nominated by the remix artists – have received a copy

There is one copy per nominated shop – for visiting and listening in store

The acetates will decay more and more with each play

There are a small number of extra acetates... go to Instagram, Twitter or Facebook and nominate a favorite store. They might receive a copy...

Thank you to independent record stores everywhere and always

Quote from: Sacha8 on May 02, 2025, 15:51:06More specifically, I'd like to know how to hide my IP and email address and also when and if I log in, so that nobody sees it. Not because I don't want people to see when I'm active and visiting, but because it feels creepy somehow to read: "jane/john doe is reading this right now" while you are checking out something...

As Ulrich correctly stated, only forum admins can see your IP and the reason is to check for Spammers etc.

If you want to hide your online status (i.e. so people can not see when you are logged in the forum) go to your Profile, click 'Forum Profile' and uncheck the option 'Show others my online status' and then click 'Change Profile'

One of the few songs I can personally salvage from WMS: Want That an artist might admit he/she wishes "more pain" is such an honest, genuine thing to say: you can't create without feeling any pain. Come to think of it, you can barely make it alive without feeling any pain. That's one of the many beautiful things about RS and his approach to lyrics...

Something else / Re: Russia attacks Ukraine
Last post by MeltingMan - May 12, 2025, 10:04:33
"There is no military solution" were once the words of Angela M. "No export permit for German weapons in crisis regions" determined German foreign policy for a long time. If the new German Chancellor has his way, certain weapons desired by Ukraine will not be open to public discussion. Russian weapons systems, on the other hand, will be very well discussed publicly, and there is virtually no defense against some of them. Does the Coalition of the Willing know this? If Ukraine is to be 'taken off the defensive,' it must be given the appropriate resources. But that alone is illusory, because they can only conduct offensive operations for a limited space and time, and Russia needs months to correct a slump. And one more word about Mr. Zelenskyy: if he refuses to run for re-election, he's not better than his opponents. In other words, he is in acute danger of becoming a dictator.
