The Absence: The Memoirs of a Banshee Drummer is set to release this June, published by White Rabbit.

Inspired by bridge construction work nearby (commissioned by the DB), I have a suggestion regarding the Hanover - Berlin route, which was like my "second living room" for about twenty years. It concerns the H - n stop. Only regional trains stop there. The high-speed line runs parallel. Since it is due to be renovated by 2030, I would like to suggest moving this stop 500m to the east. There is already an underpass for pedestrians/cyclists on the north-south axis and a building from the 1930s that, I suspect, was once owned by the German Reichsbahn. Long story short, the current stop is no longer up to date, especially for pedestrians who still have relatives in the village. I have nothing against "old masonry" - quite the opposite, but an architect should take a closer look at this section.

A bit late to the party perhaps, but anyway - I'm just having a go at the SOALW instrumental disc, which I was a little skeptical about. But it's definitely worth a listen, and it achieved something really suprising: it took me back to my (long gone) teenage years, when I first discovered The Cure.

All those memories... and hopes and dreams, most of which are truly gone.

Maybe interesting for Andy Anderson fans, he played drums on this album (released in 1985) by Jeffrey Lee Pierce (from The Gun Club).
As far as I know, the "band" who recorded this album did not play live together.

To find the right access to SOALW mentally, I first listened to Tim's Listening Party from December 8, 2024. At the time of November 1st, I felt strongly distracted. It was as if several people approach me at once. I had to step back more than one step. Thanks to YT, I listened to this show and have to say that the music was not allowed to be played for legal reasons (excluding radio listeners) is not a loss. These almost sixty minutes are a real asset. Really recommended.
