I have been revisiting the Bloodflowers album. I'm loving it more than I think I ever have before. Such a beautiful atmosphere that resonates with me in a similar way to Songs of a Lost World.

Alone.   That song hit me when I first heard it in Chicago when they toured there in 2023.   It hits me even more now that the song is on Songs for a Lost World.    I feel very much alone today, and this song hits all the emotional buttons for me.

Welcome Jas55 !
Sorry to hear you are feeling alone ...it can be an uncomfortable feeling.  But it sounds like you are someone who is willing to feel their emotional buttons rather than just ignoring or distracting ...and that's a damn healthy thing (albiet not always comfortable). I've found a lot of solace in Pema Chodron's books on this topic (The Wisdom of No Escape and Taking The Leap are two of my favourites)...just putting that out there in case you like to read and these books may resonate.
...anyway, welcome :)

I don't ever explain, if I never know
I won't ever take it, if I never give

One of the best from the new album, liked it immediately when I first heard it on the stream from Troxy on Nov 1st!  :cool

I've been listening to Bloodflowers (the song), which I find the greatest moment in the entire album, but I generally move back and forth from one album to the other, so I've also been listening to other songs from different albums, like Lost, Untitled, Disintegration, or Bsides like Adonais.

I have been listening to the album Faith a lot recently, on an improved turntable and good quality speakers.  ...the sound is superb, so rich.
I have heaps of other lps I want to give a listen to with the upgraded audio, but instead find myself wanting to again play Faith.

I love the entire album, although Doubt always feels a little strange in amongst the other songs, perhaps too up-tempo.  I perhaps yearn for a slowed down version.
Then I re-stumble across this demo.. so nice!  Now I really wonder what a slowed-down version of Doubt would sound like

Lately I've been listening to The Loudest Sound. I think it's one of the best from the Bloodflowers album. RS's voice manages to convey sadness without actually crying nor screaming, as if to recreate the idea of pain imploding inside the old couple's souls. It's heartrending and strangely sweet at the same time.

How great is Robert's voice on Secrets (At 2:20), Troxy show

I appreciate that the Troxy show is still up, but the inclusion of ads drives me bonkers!  Today I was 30 seconds into watching Secrets and then a 50 second set of ads occurs (arhhhhh!). Later when i rewatched there was no ad on the song so it must be placed randomly? For me i seem to get a 50 second set of ads about every 3-4th song. It always seems to happen in the middle of a song rather than at a suitable interval. Very frustrating, and totally ruins the atmosphere. As a result I rarely watch the Troxy stream anymore, which is a pity as its a great show.
