does anyone have [or know of] a good .MOV to MP3 and .MOV to MPG converter? all the ones i download require purchase and i can't be arsed with that...
if anyone can get me a proper converter i'll send them a concert of their choice from my list...

I already sent this to Javier, but here is how I do it for anyone who is interested:
I use Adobe Audtion (an updated version of Cool Edit Pro). I'm guessing other similar programs will work much in the same way.
All you have to do is go to the file tab, select open audio from video, and it will extract it to a wav file. Just make sure you select "all files" in the folder, because mov's will not show up as a typical file format. Once you have it extracted, you can convert it to mp3 (make sure to change the crappy default settings) or save it to wav and convert it
with another program.
Adobe uses the newer Fraunhofer mp3 codec, which is one of the better ones I think.
