Comes with original Bass VI's Fender Deluxe hardshell case (mint) and its tremolo arm (not shown).
How good the instrument is ? As good as the sunburst one Robert Smith played during the European Trilogy shows (well, the little cute flowers aren't here, but that's exactly the same...). It's just THE thing !
Own a piece of legend and music history (and the perfect Cure mojo !)
Please note that the Gibson ES-175 modified by Paul Bigsby (unique model in the world) shown in the back is not for sale... :-D
Adlib.
SOLD !

$2,000 for a Japanese (Re-issue) Bass VI? that's what the origianls are going for. The min-90s re-issues are not the same thing. Close, but not the same.

Sold for far less than that ($1600)...
The annonced price was a "wish price". There was opportunities to negociate...
But noone contacted me...
Japanese ones currently sell between $1600 and $2300 on Ebay. Have a look down there once in a while...
http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Fws%2F&fkr=1&from=R8&satitle=fender+bass+VI&category0=An original (meaning from 1961 to 1975) sell for $4500 for a rotten model to $30000 (oh yeah, that's a rare 1961 in Shoreline Gold)... An original Bass VI single pickguard sells for $1200...
The American Custom Shop RI are $3600 MRP... There are the same as the Japanese RI, meaning Fender was not able to reproduce the the original 30" scale length. They did a 30.3" scale length on these models instead (meaning all wooden pieces wouldn't fit as replacement on a vintage one without heavy surgery)...
The price you annonce was true, but 2 or 3 years ago...
I quite know about Bass VIs, thank you : I own 3 of these dating from 1962 and 1964 (well, not Japanese ones...).
