for some reason placebo hasn't developed much of a fanbase in the u.s.  in europe they play some pretty large venues.  their upcoming seattle show is in a club, as are many of the u.s. stops.  i'm not complaining, mind you.  i prefer the up and close club atmosphere to being 50 yards from the band.

The place they are playing in Philly is the electric factory, which holds 2250-2500 people.  No my favorite venue....it is an old cavernous warehouse

Just saw Placebo and S.W.R. last night.  An excellent performance from Placebo.   :rocker  I hadn't seen them live yet and they didn't disappoint.  I do wish they were the headliners and had the chance for an encore.  Still, they rocked pretty hard for a solid hour.  There was a technical problem before 'Twenty Years', so Brian lit up a smoke and tossed a few out into the crowd while things were being worked out.  Kind of funny because Washington has a ban on smoking indoors.  S.W.R. was okay.  Seen them a few times and this gig was nothing special.
