Bullshit, you think? They do have a tendency for that......

But the way the song is so bass-centric makes me think that maybe there is some truth to this.....

Can anyone clarify?

it's probably true in essence: part of the song, maybe the bassline or vocal melody was written a long time ago but never materialised into a song. Like the way that the lyrics from one of the songs from Bloodflowers was written back in the 1970s. I think it was There Is No If... or maybe it was The Last Day Of Summer. yes that was it i think.. pretty sure i read that somewhere...

Off the top of my head, there is a track on The Top bonus disc that sounds a bit like Prayers for Rain at times... Sadacic, maybe? I'm sure that there are other snippets from other demos that became songs many years after the initial demo... I'll have to go through the bonus discs...

Well to me, Lets go to bed sounds like Play for Today (to make it clear - I much prefer the latter, however some live version of LGTB are great)

I recall someone saying once that all "insert name of random band" songs sound the same, Ive even said it of bands I am not familiar with. Perhaps most bands all have a common thread from which all their music evolves - the band members!

The Caterpillar and Pornography

If you cant accept that from the album version of the Caterpillar, then listen to the Caterpillar Demo version.
