by the way, anyone who ever purchased anything from kartenhaus.de should pay attention to this:
http://www.kartenhaus.de/hilfe/
they were recently under attack and lots of credit card info was stolen/got compromised. :!:
i just had to cancel my card completely because of this - luckily nothing bad had happened!
last time i purchased from them was almost a years ago, yet since the credit card info stays in the companies' database (forever?) so...
(i'd appreciate if someone could translate that text properly: babelfish isn't exactly accurate and although iäve asked for an english translation from them, so far i've received nothing. would just nice to be sure of the details.)
anyway, too bad because i always trusted this agency very well, they were very reliable and always delivered everything quickly. i might be a lot more cautious on buying anything from there now - or elsewhere online either... :?

I've always been leary on using my credit card for online purchases. So, what I'll do is get a secured card for my internet purchases. Of course you have to have money loaded into the card since it's not a credit card. But if anyone was to steal it, you don't run the risk of losing anything but a worthless piece of plastic.

Wah! Baby Scream!!!! Wonderful..
Thanks lacrimamosa for the coverage. :smth023
What can i say. It was such an awesome show. Everything fitted.
I had enough space to dance and the audience was great :)
Robert did say something in German, how cute :)
Surprises for me were: A strange day, inbetween days, the blood and the baby screams.
It was one of the best shows i'v attended this year, after Berlin :)
Stef, thank you for the live updates. you ROCK! :rocker
okay... i try to go for a review...:
i went to munich by car with vnvrum, another member of this forum. we mat at his home, on my way to munich. i never met him before, so another friendship starting out of curefans.com! :smth023
we expected to drive about 2.5 hours, but my car made it in 2!! 200 km/h is a nice feeling!! :smth051
at the venue, i had to get my ticket at a special entrance and could go in without lining up! we met again indoor and listened to the new interpol cd... nice!!
65daysofstatic (i already now every word the singer says...) were nice as ever, but i was looking forward to hear the cures intro to guess the setlist... vnvrum took my camera and disappeared to the front row... pictures here later!
right before the concert, a guy i met in vienna (chris) appeared and we were talking! (chris! where are you? i need the copys!!! ;))
plainsong: wow! i'm always touched!
prayers for rain: nice one, but i was actually waiting for the song to come... they sometimes changed that... and?
a strange day!!! wow!! my first new one on the night for that tour!
alt.end... hm...
the blood! yes nice one! this spanish guitar looks really small in roberts hands...
the end of the world... i was waiting for the end of the song...
lovesong! nice screens as always for the song, the crowd moved for the first time...
pictures and lullaby... do i have to say more? i like the new arrengements
please project, the walk... ah... walk is okay but i dont really like the project! i realized at that point that the sound is really good and the band is much tighter than in vienna...
push, inbetween days, jlh... okay! the crowd now really moved and the people on the seats got up... they're not my songs actually...
a boy: still touches me a lot... nic song!! rs said something before the song... "embarassing" was in it...
shake dog shake!!!!! what a power!!! and nice screens, showing all for members in b/w playing their instruments... shaky filmed...
never enough, wrong number... why did they mess their greatest hits album swith these songs... just say no!!
the bab screams... oh ja!! nice one!!
end of the main set as expected! nice, powerful and hard played!!
during the break, i had to stretch my back! (yes marika, we're not the youngest...)
pop encore... robert wasnt sure if we're gonna like it, but anyways, they played it good and even friday... you know that stupid popsong about a guy in love on friday... was nice, with a special "monday-night-ending", rs played again the beginning alone...
2nd encore... everytime i'm surprised how they go from jumping to grinding halt! sounds so nice!! killing another was punky!!
before they left, rs said: maybe there's time for another one...and they came back to do the shorted 17 seconds encore! the crowd was singing the keyboard parts from play for today for minutes, before they came back... rs was really smiling when we sang along during the song!
a forest had an extended ending... robert abusing his guitar for 2 minutes before simon abused hi bass really hard for the ending!!
all in all a very good concert! i called it a 1b! 1a was berlin... because of the drowning man and the 3h 20 minutes show... i now expect not too much for zurich... they never played special sets here... we'll see! i will cover it too, so stay online and live it with me!! :smth020
cheers!

Paul
hi,
there is not much more to add to lacrima mosa post...
My experience. I was standing during the show in front of porl. What a "funny" man. Wearing "his clothes" (corsage, gothic kilt) and of his age, he looks wired.
it all started with plainsong, for short I missed the live keyboard, but because of porls guitar it feels strong and powerful.
next to mention is a strange day, i never heard this that brilliant.
the blood, not my favourite that day, as I had in mind of how clear roberts voice was on other songs that day.... argh
lovesong -> i was starting to recognize the videos at the back. nice glitter, glitter
poy, the crowd first startet to shake and get into action.
lullay. nothing to mention here, roberts normal hand games....
the walk, beside strange and play for today the best songs of the concert. It was more melodic, not as harsh as on the album, much more on the 7", it remains me back to 95 festival tour... AND ROBERT walking the stage.
push, great intro as always. I m waiting for GOGOGO
shake dog shake, i have to took a video. GREAT, but not my favourite. Porl plays guitar that impressive. COOL.
and than the encores were waiting. The audience get more into "DANCING", but for me TOO LESS...
Best Song was play for today. Just back in the old times....
worst song that evening. Lets go to bed. What was that??????? You want to kill me?
yours
vnvrum
we saw on the live webcame the venue not being full, actually half full, is that true?

the venue was sold out as for the standing tickets, but it wasnt fullfull... it was crowdy amd after 5-10 minutes into the show, a lot of people moved (passed me) to front rows... so...
As I had to mention: Thanks lacrima mosa for lifting me up. :smth023
I think, this is what FANS should do to each other...

See u tomorrow in zurich
hey lacrima
we are expecting something new and special for italy! a faith encore maybe...
see you in milano :smth023
Thanks for the link Paul. I've read the review already on Monday night. That was fast in my opinion. But what is wrong, that The Cure didn't play 3 1/2 hours.
And it is full of clichés.
That attracted my attention too lacrima mosa that people moved. One person were standing like a statue, but started dancing when the band played the pop songs and the encores. And on the seats most people where sitting like they were in the let me say theatre and not at a Rock Concert.
That is what i see most of the time. Maybe the people are shy :)
I have no idea.

i just had to cancel my card completely because of this - luckily nothing bad had happened!
I'd also like to see this text translated.
I sometimes don't understand how unauthorized access to the card is possible. After all, the security of the store's own safe where they keep the money is their responsibility and not the card users responsibility.
Someone can steal the money this way but it means that they have to break into the store and steal it from their safe.
I'm not saying it's impossible but that
storing the information that _links you_ to your credit card number by a database not only is bad practise
but sounds illegal to me... they have to be connected to the mafia if they do that.
But to ask your signature everytime your card is used is possible on the internet by
a digital signature just in case the card gets stolen somehow on the internet - and this system also makes sure your card information
cannot be stolen from or by the store you purchase from.
this is called "verified by Visa" or "mastercard secure code". It's good practise to use
it for payments by the store and is as bulletproof as it gets. Hopefully more stores will start supporting it. Looks like it
will become more common.
Btw. Sorry for the bit off-topic..

Yes, if I got him right he said "Bitte nicht stoeren" (meaning "Do not disturb")!
I was at this gig and it was my first in more than 5 years (the last one being Hyde Park 2002), it was about time I know...
It really reminded me how much (and why) I still like the Cure!
Good setlist (great mix of "darker" stuff and pop songs, oldies and new ones) and they obviously enjoyed themselves! :D
