This woman was fired after telling such things in the London's metro. So funny
Spoof London Underground Announcements

I don't think these were actually announced on the tube, but she was the lady that used to say "mind the gap".
Have you heard the other ones she made?
Her site went down yesterday due to the amount of traffic going in for the other spoof announcements.
Bit like when Jeff's imploded after "the Melbourne affair"

But if they were actually not announced in the tube, why she was fired? and what does mean "mind the gap".
Yes I hear the other announcements. I loved the one about the pervert looking at the girls' breast :P

"Mind the gap" would be referring to the space between the train and the platform...when it is stationary... nasty if you slip and get a foot caught!!
I read that she was fired because in an interview she said that she couldn't travel on the tube as it would be dreadful.
Of course, London Transport bosses weren't too happy about that, so they fired her.
Story is here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/7113545.stm
She claims that she meant it would be dreadful to hear her voice doing the "mind the gap"(@melly you are right)thing, but I don't think the spoof announcments she put on her website helped too much. :?
Some people have had a humour bypass operation huh?
Thanks david for the link... it is up and running at this moment. I found it funny, :-D some people may have had a humour bypass??!! :smth023
I don't think she should have been fired for it.. They should actually probably run it sporadically through the day to give commuters a laugh!! :smth046 we need more humour :smth041 :smth027 :smth005 in this world.. so long as it doesn't offend!!
