Post by: japanesebaby on October 03, 2005, 18:46:16
somebody please tell me if my copy of killing an arab 7" a bootleg? it has fiction labels but i just recently noticed that the back sleeve has the small drib tab logo above the text '10:15 saturday night' (which should be there only on small wonder pressings?)

There are in fact bootleg pressings of Killing An Arab. Mine has Small Wonder labels (it's a very good copy because it has a big "pixel" in the picture of the tap, just like the original. But mine is folded on the inside and it should be folded on the outside. And the original one has marks on the vinyl around the labels. Sorry to tell you yours could be a booleg too...

yes i was aware of a couple of bootleg pressings before, but this one was new to me (just how many fake pressing are there really? is there any info anywhere?)
the record itself in my copy looks otherwise pretty genuine, but the silver labels are quite blueish (is that a sign of a fake...?)

(sorry, but what did you mean by the big pixel on the picture of the tab?)
