Title: Did they play "Carnage visors" live in 1981?
Post by: sonic on November 06, 2008, 14:50:42
Hi everyone,
my neighbour told me, that he has seen The Cure in Hamburg / Markthalle in 1981
He's sure, that they played "Carnage Visors" live behind a curtain.
Bullshit or not? Who else saw them in 1981?
Cheers, Sonic

I didn't see them in 1981, nobody still alive did, but I think Carnage Visors was played from tape as a pre-concert music...

:D

I never heard they did it live!

I think your friend is wrong.

That said, there are no infos about these concerts in Hamburg on the concerts sites, so could we imagine that maybe at one concert the tape couldn't be played and they decided to play it live while hidden behind the curtains?

You should have asked Robert about that on the official site a few days ago when they were still taking questions...

Ummmm, I saw them play in 1978, and I'm still alive, (I think)  :-D
Never got to see them play in '81 though - I'm guessing Carnage Visors was taped music.
