Post by: japanesebaby on October 07, 2005, 14:33:38
...of killing an arab 7":

"Horror-shock-bore banal drivel of the very worst kind. A pathetic attempt. I hate it."

does anyone know where this comes from or who wrote it? i got it with a lot of UK clippings & it's very small and has no source/writer info of any kind. according to the paper quality it looks like it's from sounds/nme/melody maker or some other newspaper

It sounds like something from Paul Morley. He was very critical of the band in its early days, but then grew to really like them over time. I can't be sure though. Maybe this was in the Ten Imaginary Years book. Unfortunately, I don't have my copy right now...

Can anyone confirm this?
