Title: Instrumental Versions of released songs / albums
Post by: nausearockpig on November 13, 2005, 07:37:34
we all love robert's voice but part of the fun of The Cure's music is just that, the music. listening for instance to the way the guitar melodies of Friday I'm In Love intertwine is amazing...

does anyone know or have versions of any [or preferably all] cure songs that have been mixed to the point of robert laying down the vox? it would be amazing to hear voiceless versions of our favourite songs...

You know, I can't think of a single one. Of course there is demo stuff, but nothing as far as instrumental official stuff. I agree that it would be amazing to hear. Sucks, really. :x

pre-final vocal track laying bootlegged stuff would be perfect.

Yeah, seems the bootleggers never seized that opportunity. I guess we'll just have to rely on some of the remixes to give us a glimpse as to what the instrumental versions would be like.

I'd love to hear an instrumental version of "The Cure". Without Robert's voice, it might not be THAT bad.
