i found an boolteg with Robert Smith´s remix of Cocteau Twins´s "Cherry Coloured Funk" ... but! i compare it with an album version of that song and there´s no differencies...

so.. did Robert remix that song or is just a fake?? (although... that song is beautiful)
i never said i would stay to the end

I've never heard of it before. Is it uploaded somewhere so that I can have a listen? I've never heard about robert doing a remix for the Cocteau, they haven't done anything in years, and I've never read anything about it at the time. I believe it's a fake unfortunately.  That said, I'd be glad to learn I'm wrong!

There was a remix of Cherry-Coloured Funk by Mark Clifford on Otherness EP in 1995. Never heard of Robert doing any remixes for CT...

Fatter than Bob, balder than Porl, as sober as Simon, as amusing as Jason

every clifford remix on the otherness EP is great, as were his live appearances during the last CT tour. thanks for bringing this back  :D

but back the point : the CT remix by robert smith is obviously a fake ; i've never even tried to download it to hear what it was (and i remember seeing it appear before the "mash-up", bootleg or whatever fashion was on ; so i guess it's not this kind of things).

Yes I already came to that supposed Robert remix, it's a fake !

I found this on a P2P network ages ago, listed as "Cocteau Twins featuring Robert Smith", as if he had played on it.

I ignorantly believed it for a while, but it eventually became pretty obvious that it was a fake.

just listened to the audio clip you sent ; it's not even a fake, it's the original track!
it's a great song indeed ; if you ever want to know more, it's from the "heaven or las vegas" album, 4AD, 1990.
