your non-favorites ("respectable" artists only!)

i've recently realized that i utterly hate bands like e.g. wilco who have made a career out of trying to sound like beatles - or any other band who thinks their existence is somehow justified and their output somehow instantly interesting simply because they are mimicking some well-established artist. it annoys me in a similar way as gospel rock (which i hate): because all the people i've ever met people who either make or listen to gospel rock always (and i mean always) defend it by saying "yeah but it's good because it has got such a great message!" - even a child knows that that's utterly crap excuse.

Bands like Oasis and U2 aswell.........make me think... 'im going to stop playing who shall i kill first in my head and just go with what feels natural, starting with me....... then its them" 


And yes even children know this, my 9 year old sister can determine whats manufactured rubbish and what actually has tune to it.... hence the reason she now likes The Cure.

I'm tired of faux goth bands like MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE

I'm tired of those "emo" bands like FALLOUT BOY, who focus on bronze over music...

I'm tired of stupid slutty R&B girls like FERGIE, NELLY FURTADO, and more...

I'm tired of every kid who wants to become a rock star citing AC/DC and LED ZEPPLIN as their favorite rock bands...

I'm tired of more ****-ish bands like PUSSYCAT DOLLS

I'm tired of Disney Channel musicians and their squeaky-clean perfect lives...

I hate Morrissey, I hate Boy George, I hate Wham, I am tired of people referring to them when talking about the 80s and totally overlooking The Cure.

I'm sick and tired of these new "indie" bands who try to be unique but end up sounding just like JET from a few years back...

Can't kids listen to anything besides Young Joc, Chamillionare, Jay-Z, Twista, and all that shit?

RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS...yeah, you heard me, I'm tired of them. They are grungy, creepy, stoned, and their music is annoying.

METAL or DEATHROCK bands whose music is at the highest tempo possible and you can't even understand what the singer is saying! Everybody just has to love DISTURBED nowadays...ugh!

CREED, PEARL JAM, and other bands that sing in low, almost cowboyish voices. I hate that. The Brits rule the rock scene...I hate these skeezbags, with their dirty clothes singing in their gravely voices...

JOHNNY CASH. You want to throw stones? Yes, I am tired of hearing about him. He has become this symbol, and people are just paying attention to him NOW because his image and symbolism has become popular via the media coverage of his death and the film "WALK THE LINE". In reality, he's just another lame country singer. I don't care how dead he is, he's just not as great as everyone says he is. Sorry.

WILLY NELSON, BOB DYLAN, and all those other old geisers singing about peace and the US of A. Booooooring! Sing about something else already, get an electric guitar once and a while, get a drummer, get a keyboardist, get a better singer! I don't care how old you are, it doesn't make you any better! And I apologize for my lack of respect, but how many times must I hear a Bob Dylan song blasting from some parent's radio? I'm tired of it!

I almost agree 100% with you except Johnny Cash, grew up listening to him so he has a place in my heart and RHCP...they are like an ear worm..they just grow on you plus I really like their old stuff esp. breaking the girl... that song

I am of the Bauhaus camp, and I love Peter Murphy and Love and Rockets. I also love the Smiths, I canna help it but songs like there is a light that never goes out makes me smile.

as much as i hate the smiths/morrissey from the bottom of my heart, i have to agree that "there is a light that never goes out" is one exception to the rule. it's simply a great song in every way (hey it really must be because even morrissey doesn't manage to ruin it! ha!). actually, if i had to name three best lovesongs ever written i'd have to sit down and really think about the other two but this one would be a sure choice.

also agree about RHCP - "ear worms" indeed. i used to dislike then for the longest time, but they just somehow grew on me. "other side" was the song that started the slow change. it used to be played a lot on the radio around the time it came out and it just didn't leave me alone until i gave up and sat down and gave them a good listen and a fair chance. since then, i've more or less been a fan. i still don't like everything they've done but they are superb at their best, also as a live combo. then again, on a bad day they seem to suck live. one of those bands that don't have middle ground there, i suppose.

Chemical Romance and hate the way the lead singer looks- just looks like a pose to me.
Coldplay, Oasis and boring bands. Bob Dylan, and country bands.

Hate alot of girl 'cheerleading sounding' singers like   April  Lavertry    , qwen S, Britney makes me sick, Fergie sounds crap aswell.
