While reading Jon Robb's goldmine of a book The art of Darkness (allegedly on "goth" but really on any kind of interesting music ever created from the 50s onwards), I suddenly stumbled on this trip back to memory lane... Didn't realize Heaven 17 used to be a political act, but of course as I went on the youtube channel and listened I instantly remembered about this track. It sounds more pungent now that ever, with that reference to fascism rising... 2025 feels even more dreadful that the late 70s and the early 80s, politically speaking. Well worth rediscovering, even for political reasons only, but the electronic dares behind Gregory's voice is also great: (We don't need this) fascist groove thang
