Really impressive shots from 12.06. in Hohn (Schleswig-Holstein). We won't see this diversity again anytime soon, unless...

The purchase price gives hope that the house (Manoir du Leuhan) will not be misused, but will be used for its original purpose as a residential building. Anything else would be a scandal or, even worse, an irretrievable loss. I particularly like the interior.

Any help will probably come too late here. More details at Blendecques on French Wikipedia.

WELT - WAR AGAINST ISRAEL: "The type of killing is also a statement to Western democracies!" - Friedman

I greatly appreciate Mr. Friedman, but I would still like to ask two comments/questions: are anti-Israel demonstrations on German soil something that democracy fundamentally has to endure or do they actually constitute a criminal offense? And the second is the admission that here, similar to Ukraine, we are dealing with a protracted neighborhood conflict that could lead to a global war because, to put it bluntly, Moscow and Beijing believe that the Western democracies are in a kind of decline. So what kind of century are we getting?

QuoteThis is Alan Dershowitz's video podcast called The Dershow. We discuss politics, law, the constitution and current events.

We also commemorate the so-called Reichspogromnacht 85 years ago today.

"Poor Things", I enjoyed it, Emma Stone played well (won an "Oscar" too):

Last week I watched "Dream Scenario", a small film with Nicolas Cage, which wasn't bad at all.

Next I want to see "Civil War" by Alex Garland (all the movies I saw directed by him, were good). Let's just hope this scenario won't be too real all too soon!

Well I watched "Furiosa (A Mad Max Saga)". It is kinda the prequel to "Mad Max Fury Road", telling the story of Furiosa. Did I really need to know her story? No. But I watched it anyway. Basically the dialogue is forgettable, action is "over the top" in some places. It was "entertaining rubbish", but in a good way...

Of course with almost 2 and a half hours, it is way too short - I mean, why don't we get to hear the backstory of "Immortan Joe"? Or is it that going to be the next movie?  :winking_tongue

"Longlegs" (a "horror" sort of movie - I'd expected more of a "Silence of the lambs" kinda thriller, but it was okay)

"The Substance" was quite a ride... from a persiflage on the "youth cult" in Hollywood it went on to full-on horror with streams of blood in the 2nd half.
