a comment about BDC... simon tries to convince Robert to play it but Robert says  NO... in a king of team back in front of jason ... but simon and porl get back to their places and instruments so robert get bsck an says spmething like... ok this will be the very laaaaast song... so i guess BDC wasn't on the setlist originally...

Darth hit it right on the head.  It was a sort of mutiny on stage.  After Faith, Robert says:

"Thank you.  We're just going for a talk."

They came right back out and Robert said something that I can't figure out right now...something like:

"Since we've gone off and come back on again, we (at least got?) the chance to play this....the LAST SONG!"

I'm still not amused that they ended that stellar setlist with BDC.  I was hoping when they came out that they would play Forever, but no such luck.  It was only 10:10pm or so when they finished.

I don't understand all the hate for Boys Don't Cry although it would have better if they played the entire 3IB encore but i guess there wasn't enough time and they had to play something short

well, i guess it depends on the company it's in. but after something like the holy hour, other voices and faith... it's just pure blasphemy to go and play something like BDC.

Wasn't there a Curiosa show that ended with something downbeat (Going Nowhere, maybe?) and then they played BDC and Robert said "Simon didn't want to end with a sad song"? Sounds like Simon wants everyone to go home happy.

Remember back in 86, BDC was often played just before Faith  

I know a lot of people are sick of it, but to me its a timeless classic that never gets old.  And I hope to see them perform it next year, but you're right perhaps not as the final song.

The rest of the concert looks to have a good flow though
I really dig Plainsong and Disintegration opening and closing the main set.

It's not hate as such, i just get bored of it.
