So you will be arriving very close to Bercy.  I guess I will see you at the hostel

So are you guys really staying at a gay youth hostel in Paris?

Gay hostel, no.  It's a straight one, I MADE SURE.  They gay one is down the road a ways.  However, if it looks suspicious upon arrival I'll be finding the nearest Hilton.

go on laugh at me... I went to see the Village People in the 80's. I had NO IDEA they were gay icons... I just thought they were very 'buffed'-up looking 'dancing/singing' guys!!

hey Brian, a screwdriver is slightly better than a few other objects that now come to mind...  ;)

I'm looking at that screwdriver as a piece of symbolism, as in this "other object".

so many times i've heard the parisians boasting about their classiness and better-than-average taste and style on all things imaginable - i think this proves it.
can't wait to meet these true parisians, we have a lot to learn from them indeed, style-wise...  and maybe otherwise too... :smth023

(i mean these guys are from paris, right?)

You can take the RER train from "gare du Nord" to "Gare de Lyon". Then, it seems Bercy is 900 meters away :)
You will find the map here:

I'm in trouble  :(

I've listened to some bootlegs of this 2008 Tour… and I find this really aproximative… ain't no punch… Robert's voice is not so precise and agressive (100 years) as it should be (have been), Porl's guitar seems sometimes lost in the songs, and i don't speak about this "all guitar for the keyboards" (Fascination street keyboard theme )

A forest is sung to be sung but there's no passion…

I'm afraid to be disappointed…

I'm a curefans from 1987 to today… but I ask myself if this next concert won't be "Le concert de trop" (the toomuch concert).

So I ask myself, why do they do this tour rather than finishing this double album… they have nothing to sell for this tour… it is just for fun… but it looks like there is no fun… no passion anymore.
This was made to be played loud,
SO TURN IT UP !!!

There's no comparison between seeing The Cure live and listening a bootleg. I listen all the time the Hamburg 2002 gig (the only concert I attended) and it's far, very far from what it was in real, and I'm sure it will be the same this time.

Yes for sure… being at a gig, and listening to a gig is not really the same thing… I'm quiet sure I will definitely like this show but… I'm a little anxious about this.

I don't know why  :smth011 I should be so happy !  :?

i don't know if it's any consolation (because what suits to one does not suit to other, as we know), but i was also very hesitant and doubtful before stockholm. i didn't feel much excited and didn't know what to expect. i was even afraid it would be a disappointment of some kind.
but being there convinced me, the show was very real...  :D and after that i was very relieved and all relaxed to see the other shows, to enjoy...  :smth026

i hope it turns out to be a rewarding experience for you too.  :)

by the way before the stockholm gig i actually didn't listen to the cure much at all for almost two weeks. especially not live recordings!
i decided not to listen so that i might be able to give myself "a fresh possibility", to see if they could impress me again.
it looks like it worked well.. ;)
