What made you feel sad today?

We just had one of the final meetings at my office. It will be quite hard to quit the place you have been working in for more than 7 years

that must have been a strange day... and some huge changes in life that you're about to go through there.
moving to anywhere that far away from your old life and everyone in it - of course i've never faced anything that radical in my life, so maybe i can't try and relate fully, as i've never experienced anything in that magnitude... but whenever it has happened on a smaller sace, i've tried to find consolation in the words "you are not in the place but the place is in you".
or maybe i just sound all cheesy here - anyway, it does take courage to do what you're doing, to go so far away.
(i wish i wasn't such a coward myself...!)

It's always sad to say "goodbye" to people we have become close to, especially those we work with, as we spend most of our days with them! But, as you turn and leave, probably with a tear in your eye, just think of the journey in front of you, the new friends you will make, the "adventure" of making a whole new life for yourself.. and I am sure those who you have become closest to at work will keep in touch, and probably be a little jealous that you have taken that deep breath and made such a big change in your life... it's always hard to say goodbye...

And CV... they'll probably break up and you'll be friends again...it's hormones, you know, testosterone... I know what you mean, you should still be friends even if he's dating this chick...but, sometimes, it just doesn't work that way, sadly... don't take it all personally, your pal is thinking with something else other than his brain    I KNOW it's hard being a teenager, but, you know what, some things that seem insurmountable at the time, can turn out to be just a whisper in your memory as time passes.... don't be angry, or sad.... just maybe back off a bit with this guy, let him have some space with this girl, see what happens... fill your time with things YOU like to do, and don't concentrate on this feeling of abandonment you have at the moment....you're only making YOURSELF miserable, he is totally oblivious to how you are feeling, his mind is elsewhere.....get on with your life, and try...just try...to smile...a little... it will all be ok...I promise...

My friends dont like me. Which is strange because I think only of them. They're lucky to have someone like me who is so committed and so trustworthy.

I feel so lonely right now...like I mean nothing to nobody.

just a few lines... CV  .. it is time to think of yourself!! Friends come and go. You are going through a lot of teenage turmoil. Us "oldies" have been there too, and also witness to our children's adolescence.
Concentrate on where you are and where you want to be.. it is hard.. but girls and stuff will come along when it is right.
Take strength in yourself, and start a new day, everyday, do not let others affect you. It disempowers you. You are stronger than you believe right now. !!

Not in my small town.  I have met maybe a handful of people who knew who the Cure are, and I would say that 4 out of those 5 looked at me like I just moved here from Mars.  My first boyfriend ever said that he would try to fly from Phoenix to make the 12 hour drive with me...so we will see...Thanks for your sympathy.  I am off to my cold and desolate bed...

Hi, Hero.  I'm also sorry to hear this news.  Hope you and your family get through it ok!!  There's no right or wrong way to feel when something like this happens.  Just do whatever gets you through.
