Hi everyone, my name is Sacha. I've discovered this forum while reading the book Curepedia and decided to sign up a few days ago. I'm from Italy and have been an "unconscious" Cure fan my entire life. It's kind of complicated. Basically, The Cure were part of my childhood and pre-teen days mostly, with me absorbing all their songs from the radio while my teenage brother listened to them. A forest was a constant presence in my life at the time, and it's still my favourite musical snapshot of those days. Fast forward in time, and I  completely forgot about them (I moved on I guess, like any teenager who doesn't want to follow in the footsteps of what her siblings had chosen for her), until very recently. A record by American artist Chrysta Bell covering songs by The Cure had me hooked on their music again, and it all flooded back to me: songs I didn't even remember listening to but curiously knew by heart, like Let's go to bed, The caterpillar, while others had left an impressive memory on me, like Inbetween days, Burn or Lullaby, but somehow I let them swim past me out of laziness. Thankfully, Songs of a Lost World came out too, and my love for the band has only grown since then: I've read two books about them and have been listening to all of their records, watching concerts and musing upon each song's meaning. Though I'm a strange kinf of fan compared to hardcore ones, I guess, I hope I will find interesting people here to share thoughts with. Thank you. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your friend lostflower4.

Hello (again) Sacha!
Thanks for your introduction here.
I did not know about Chrysta Bell covering Cure songs, must check this out!

And don't worry, nothing you describe here makes you seem like a "strange" fan at all. :cool
I'm lying on the floor of the night before...

Welcome to the forum! Interesting you found us through Curepedia, that's a great book and a must-read for any Curefan! You rediscover The Cure right on time. First album in sixteen years and another to come this year (or so Robert said) and there should be some Cure concerts planned this autumn, hopefully!

Let's hope there will indeed be another record, and I'm looking forward to the concerts too!
