BSI merch is for UK

(he Cure UK Store 20 Commercial Street, Spitalfields, London, E1 6LP, United Kingdom)

Music Today is for US

[From the date that your order is dispatched we aim for delivery to you within 2-5 business days (UK), 3-8 business days (Europe) or 10-15 business days (Rest of World).]

Shipping for the cd version from the EU store costs around 8 euros. So you did something wrong i assume.

That's good to know. It sounded rather strange that the store made such a heavy mistake... Thank you so much for clarifying. I feel really embarrassed by the whole thing, and kind of depressed too...  :1f62d:  :1f62d:  :1f62d:

Don't get depressed, mistakes can happen and you do pay for it after all.  :)

Quote from: Sacha8 on June 17, 2025, 19:33:22I think the new one dealing with the shipping of items is located in Virginia, USA

Last time I ordered something (MC early this year) it was not shipped from USA and arrived within a few days (even sooner than expected)!

If possible, do not hide your IP address and always double-check when visiting the store if you're in that part of the world where it's shipped.

Well, thanks for the links! I haven't made my mind up yet whether to go buy CD or vinyl at a store or order the cassettes...  :1f636:

Thanks a lot for your support! The funny thing is I spent the same amount of money to get the deluxe versions of Pornography and Disintegration (in the same order, and for both CDS) from a local store...

Distribution seems not as good as with the (regular studio) album back in November; I went to 2 shops (in one I'd bought the album) and none of them had it on stock...  :1f636:

Mine is ready (CD format), but waiting for a record from Sharon Van Etten so will go to pick it up once that's ready...

I've just received my copy, but somehow still haven't found the time to listen to it... Too busy with work (and rediscovering Björk's music...)

The enthusiasm about this remix project from all sides (incl. myself) is really overwhelming!  :winking_tongue

Ok, so today I found some time and sat down to properly listen to the 3 cds of MOALW. Here is my assessment:
CD 1: there are interesting tracks, like Paul Oakenfold remix of I can never say goodbye and Daniela Avery's version of Drone: No drone, some others which are quite unventful and banale like Daybreakers remix of Warsong, and one which frankly is offensive - All I ever am by Meera: wtf is this? Orbital's version of Endsong is really creative and one of the highlights of this preliminary cd, but the reat treat in this part definitely is Ame's take on A fragile thing, truly inspirational!
CD 2: the weakest of the collection, with the exception of Cosmodelica's remix of And nothing is forever - mildly interesting, nothing more - my advice is to skip this and go directly to Disc 3.
CD 3: here's where things get interesting. Despite only two of the artists explicitly define their tracks as "reworks", the whole set in part 3 is made up of wonderfully conceived and truly original reworkings on The Cure's songs. Craven Faults' I can never say goodbye is a rare gem, where the original transmutes into something completely different (Robert's voice is not even there, but who cares: this is a work of art in its own right). Joycut's and Trentemoller's deconstructive strategy towards Drone and Nothing is forever respectively are fascinating, as is Chino Moreno's bare rendering of Warsong. The best comes last, and the final reworks are the most memorable, especially Mogwai's heartbreaking take on Endsong. Some might find this anathema, but personally I prefer 65daysofstatic's version of All I ever am to The Cure's! Anyway, CD 3 is worth the price of the whole cd, but pruning cd 2 altogether (and part of CD 1 too) would have been so much better.
