I haven't been able to access this site for bloody ages or so I thought.
Every time I tried to log on, it told me I had failed, so after a few months I got fed up and gave up.

Today, I realised it was because I need to select the stay logged on for longer than an hour option - D'oh!

What an i***! :1f62d:

Traders corner / Primary 12" 5:56
Last post by OWEI - August 30, 2025, 13:38:32
Hiya,
I have been searching for a WAV high quality rip of the 12" Version of Primary 5:56" for years.

My copy was nicked at a party years ago (I know who it was but couldn't prove it) and it now goes for lottery winner prices on Discogs etc :pouting-face.

I don't suppose anyone can help (or as a last resort has a mint copy they would be willing to part with a reasonable price, please)?

Thanks!

Those tariffs are illegal then, huh?

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ckgj7jxkq58o

QuoteA US appeals court has ruled that most tariffs issued by US President Donald Trump are illegal, setting up a potential legal showdown that could upend his foreign policy agenda.

The ruling affects Trump's "reciprocal" tariffs, imposed on most countries around the world, as well as other tariffs slapped on China, Mexico and Canada.

Another failed loop-the-loop maneuver (blackout?). My condolences to the family.

It might be a conspiracy theory, but I suspect that Trump and Putin somehow secretly agreed to prolong this war by stalling any direct peace talks...

QuoteWith little to show from two summits, pressure is intensifying on a president who made ending foreign wars a key campaign promise. But there were two potentially significant developments.

In Monday's White House confab, Trump appeared open to providing US security guarantees for Ukraine if a deal is struck. That is viewed by the Ukrainians, and their European allies, as an essential component in reaching a durable peace.

On Tuesday morning, Trump hedged a bit, saying a US commitment might entail "air support" rather than American soldiers in Ukraine and that Europe would have to shoulder most of the burden.

He also said "arrangements" were being made for a bilateral summit between Putin and Zelensky - although the location and details remain very much up in the air - after which he would directly participate in a three-way meeting with the two men.

Quote from: Sky NewsRussian Targets are Mostly Civilian

Ukraine has to be careful that it does not attack targets as indiscriminately. I think that's clear. After the shelling of petrol stations (!), trains with fuels of any kind and the petroleum processing industry, partly far in Russia, the question arises whether the Russian civilian population is not more affected than the Russian military. The Russian military, my guess, is preferably supplied with fuel and already has, that is no secret, so many combustion vehicles lost. Now the Ukraine is presenting a weapon similar to the German V1. :1f636:  A main problem is still not solved: protection of their own population (also against sliding bombs).

Regarding the housing situation: today I have to juggle a bit with numbers. I hope that sounds less dramatic. ;)  Of a total of eleven apartments, four are now vacant. This vacancy may be intentional. Two tenants have not yet agreed to the rent increase announced for September 1st. I am one of them. And finally, one resident is facing eviction suit next month. She hasn't found a new apartment yet and "doesn't want to move to where she doesn't want to be". This also has to do with her age. So we're just a small group, and it's continuing to shrink. Otherwise, there's not much solidarity left among tenants. On August 26th, I had an unsuccessful conversation with the landlord, who is behaving more and more like a dictator. We Germans are sensitive to this. ;)  The good news: the local tenants' association is now taking action in my case as well. For now, I feel prepared for the coming weeks.
