    Regarding the housing situation: today I have to juggle a bit with numbers. I hope that sounds less dramatic.   Of a total of eleven apartments, four are now vacant. This vacancy may be intentional. Two tenants have not yet agreed to the rent increase announced for September 1st. I am one of them. And finally, one resident is facing eviction suit next month. She hasn't found a new apartment yet and "doesn't want to move to where she doesn't want to be". This also has to do with her age. So we're just a small group, and it's continuing to shrink. Otherwise, there's not much solidarity left among tenants. On August 26th, I had an unsuccessful conversation with the landlord, who is behaving more and more like a dictator. We Germans are sensitive to this.   The good news: the local tenants' association is now taking action in my case as well. For now, I feel prepared for the coming weeks.
