"Columba, heal my black heart"...

Quote from: Sacha8 on July 30, 2025, 13:46:15Does Vanian also adore Brel like Marc does, I wonder?

I don't know. All I know is he likes Swing, 50's rocknroll, 60s garage music and lots more...
(Easy to find out by checking the covers he recorded with the Phantom Chords, Damned etc.)

Quote from: WELTIn principle, we do not comment on budget payments.

The ZDF should transfer Jan B.'s salary in PLN and not in EUR.  ;)

The hype surrounding Laura Dahlmeier's death and her alleged written instructions that she should be left behind in the mountains in the event of a fatal incident. Ms. Dahlmeier wasn't "suicidal", was she?! I say get her out of there.  :unamused:

PS: According to another source, she fell to her death as a result of the rockfall. In addition, some of her climbing partner's public statements are no longer available online! Let's not forget that some cannot speak because they are (still) in shock. Ms. Dahlmeier certainly did not intend to end her life in this place. Rescuing her mortal remains is an act of decency, courage, and respect.

Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, GA, by Two Outsiders

Nico should have been wearing a headgear. ;)  Wouldn't this place be worth a second visit and a second video? I think so.

I wonder how many M2 Brownings the Ukrainian air defense has received. In my opinion, it's too few. Exact figures aren't published. This machine gun, and I just want to make this clear, was also designed to defend against flying objects!  :frowning:

Yes, they do. They even shared a backing band (the tracks were released much later though), when Vanian's "Phantom Chords" played for Marc Almond:

Yeah, back in the 80s it was enough to say that you liked "punk & new wave" and it included everything from The Clash via Killing Joke up to The Sisters Of Bauhaus.  ;)

Quote from: Sacha8 on July 30, 2025, 12:51:05My first real "Marc Almond moment" instead was Something's gotten hold of my heart, the duet with Gene Pitney..

Can't view the vid, but I know the song well, it was a hit single back in the late 80s and still gets played on German daytime radio stations, in fact I heard it last week on SWR1!

I'll change the link from my pc then... Does Vanian also adore Brel like Marc does, I wonder?
