It's just the fact that ABINK is not in the set yet has nothing to say about whether it's on the album or not. The other two new ones weren't played in Europe. So what? What happend to them there? Will the be on the record though? That's just ridiculous.

During the Euro tour the new album was still thought to be a double and there was no talk of this four singles plan.  My guess is that the two unannounced singles are The Perfect Boy and Sleep When I'm dead.

That's exactly what I think. But still says nothing about ABINK left off the album. It will be on there! Robert said so in that interview with Radio 104.5. Not that I've that strong belief in what Robert tells in any interview.

I just said that it's ridiculous to complain about anything that haven't even announced yet.

Hey, the only thing I complained about was this Christmas album that probably won't come out this Christmas.  That was announced.   ;)

Didn't Robert announce that the last album was going to be the heaviest ever? What happend to that? He will include dark and epic songs on the September issue. No need for a second release at christmas anyway. Maybe next year? 30 anniversary album (which would not only include dark and gloom stuff as Disintegration wasn't complete doom and gloom). I just don't give much on what Robert tells in interviews.

Fun show.  The crowd was really into it, and I think we all really thought we were getting a fourth encore for a minute!  Setlist was a little too poppy for me, and Disintegration was a mess, but we had a great time!

I agree about Disintergration.  But hey, my boyfriend who is a metal head wasn't too fond of the Cure, but he said that after seeing them that he has new respect for them and that they put on one hell of a show.   :smth023  One thing we both thought was awesome was the diversity amongst people, ages, walks of life.  It was awesome beyond words...(I am still bawling like a baby that my life's dream had to come to and end...no joke, that is 110% true).  One downfall, the couple behind was urinated on by some jerk behind them. :smth011  All in all, I am thoroughly satisified with my experience, just bummed that it's over...and I didn't even bring my camera.

finally back in Indianapolis after returning from my first show...must say that it was incredible...while I was disappointed that there was no Seventeen Seconds encore, and that "to wish impossible things" wasn't played...it was possibly the greatest experience yet in my short life

What happened during Disintegration?  Sloppy play?  Forgotten lyrics?

There's still plenty of time to take a road trip to another show.  You might just get to hear that Seventeen Seconds encore.

It was played fine, but Robert mumbled different lyrics during the first two verses (Reminded me of that '98 Germany show where he sang Watching Me Fall actually) then about 3/4th of the way through, I think he realized what was happening and just started wailing.  If the whole song would've been as cool as that two minutes it would've been amazing.

We considered going to Cleveland too, after this show, but the expense would be too much, considering the gas costs and the fact that we need a new computer.  Plus, honestly, I wouldn't be too surprised if they do a few shows in the fall for the new album.  Robert mentioned that he considered postponing the show because he was sick, but he couldn't justify making us come back a third time.  Made us wonder, postpone it to when?  June?  or later?  What's he got planned?   :-D

[labyrinth]

postponing it like the Everett one back in 2004.

at the end of the tour, maybe.

Oh, I see.  The only here that is allowed to have an opinion is you.  Anyone else that has an opinion that doesn't agree with yours is wrong.  I get it.

Talk about an attitude.  Someone mentions what they think about what songs will or won't be on the album based on the belief that the new album will be upbeat (or poppy, or whatever other term you or anyone else wants to use), and you chastise them.  Who made you judge?

Listen, if you want to make a second account here to raise hell, whatever.  If you're so opinionated, why hide behind a second account?  Use your main account and let everyone know who you are. :smth011

I don't get this?
hiding behind a second account?..

my opinion.. ( that is my honest opinion)..  is that I have wondered where ABINK has gone? ..  I soo much prefer it to f**k show!  ;)
and the rise of The Perfect Boy.. I still have not heard this one.. and am curious..

I added 3 photos to the Rosemont gallery.  I took tons more, but I got a lousy camera and these are the better ones.

Hey everyone . . .

I just signed up for an account on here, I'm usually really bad at keeping up with message boards and stuff.  I'm a longtime (actually, lifetime) Cure fan and I wanted to at least be able to contribute something to the other fans out there, so I've uploaded some of the photos I took from the Chicago show this past weekend.  I had a photo pass as I was reviewing the show, but my editor had sent someone else to photograph the show, therefore making the pictures I took mine.  There's only 5 at the moment, but I plan to put up quite a few more (I took about 100 photos while I was up there).  This was my first time ever seeing The Cure so I went crazy with the camera - I was even fighting tears during Prayers For Rain so I could take more pictures - haha!

Anyhow - hope you all like the pictures I put up, and I'll reply to this thread when I put more up . . .
