so j,
he was sick?

i read he had a cold or a sore throat !

j

RS seemed fine, but mentioned something about having a sore throat.  I didn't notice it much until they played Lovecats.

Been trying to convince myself for the past 3 years that CS will work without keys.

Rag dog looks like another of the "upbeat" songs  :smth011

Yep, nothing downbeat about 150 BPM.

I'm just glad that they didn't drop Holy Hour or Other Voices from the Faith encore.  Those two need to be played!

I'm going to be uploading some more pics of last night.  This was my third show on this tour....and the 3rd time that there was an insanely tall guy 3-5 rows in front of me, directly in my line of sight of RS.  I have quite a few pics of the guy's head from last night  :?

I just hope one or both of them do get played.

2 nice encores on the list now that never get played.

Maybe he's holding off on them, for when he tours the Xmas record that he's never going to release?

That could be, but why list them?

I'm starting to wonder if The Boy I Never Knew is going to be left off the as yet untitled 13th album.  No sign of it on the NA tour.  It's certainly dark and that isn't going to be what the new album is about.  Everything new has been upbeat...including this Rag Dog song.  The only new mellow track that's seen some light was the mystery song from the Boston soundcheck.  Notice how it hasn't been played.  It's probably not going to be because it'll be saved for the Christmas album that won't come out this Christmas.

I think Bob wanted to play it, but for what I've read, he was a bit sick yesterday (sore throat), so I don't think he could make it.

If you follow that logic, Sleep when I'm dead and The Perfect Boy are not supposed to be on the album because they were not played during the entire European Tour.

And about the "upbeat" thing: Is 100 Years poppy? A Short Term Effect, Primary, A Forest, Shake Dog Shake, From the edge of the deep green sea, Want, Fascination Street, Disintegration, are these songs poppy? Well, I think they're not. But eh, they're upbeat, aren't they? Why do most of you connect the word "upbeat" to "poppy"? Follow that logic would mean that Pornography, 17 Seconds or Wish are Poprecords, because they're all more upbeat. You talk about an album that hasn't even a name yet, no tracklisting, nothing but you talk about it like shit. The album will include at least 2 or 3 very slow downbeat songs including A Boy I Never Knew, that's as sure as Robert won't shave his head. Just calm down guys.  :smth011

Did I mention anything about pop?  You're misreading what I wrote.  I'm talking about new songs. Ones that I think are going to be on the album because they are the ones currently being played on the tour.  Just wondering what the hell happened to ABINK.  For some reason it's being left off the setlist.  Maybe that reason is it won't be on the new album.  Maybe it will.  If so, it should be played at some point on the NA tour.

Did anyone ever tell you that this attiude is one of the most superficial?

It's just the fact that ABINK is not in the set yet has nothing to say about whether it's on the album or not. The other two new ones weren't played in Europe. So what? What happend to them there? Will the be on the record though? That's just ridiculous. Like the whole upbeat against downbeat against poppy against darker stuff thing. The album will have the same balance as every Cure Record had since The Top. Stop howling around and complaining about Robert's descicions before they're even announced.

j

Oh, I see.  The only here that is allowed to have an opinion is you.  Anyone else that has an opinion that doesn't agree with yours is wrong.  I get it.

Talk about an attitude.  Someone mentions what they think about what songs will or won't be on the album based on the belief that the new album will be upbeat (or poppy, or whatever other term you or anyone else wants to use), and you chastise them.  Who made you judge?

Listen, if you want to make a second account here to raise hell, whatever.  If you're so opinionated, why hide behind a second account?  Use your main account and let everyone know who you are. :smth011

During the Euro tour the new album was still thought to be a double and there was no talk of this four singles plan.  My guess is that the two unannounced singles are The Perfect Boy and Sleep When I'm dead.  It's just a guess, but it makes sense.  Those are the songs that are being played.  But hey, the tour is just under way.  Robert mentioned something about several new songs (was it the entire album?) getting played at some point during the tour.  Hmmm...Robert says a lot, though

??? What second account? Ever heard of paranoia? And I don't want anybody to missionize about my opinion. I just said that it's ridiculous to complain about anything that haven't even been announced yet. You have to respect that opinion as I respect yours.
