I knew this show would be great.
My mum wanted to be there -for her birthday, but too late now.

especially because many of the songs played are already on the Festival 2005 DVD.

Nothing, but it really wasnt part of the 2005 set, even though they put it on the DVD anyway with plainsong...So one of the few "new old" things this tour is plainsong and distintegration back in and open/end on the outs, but it was already on the last DVD

look, im buying it but bearing in mind in a few interviews we have read "I got deadlocked editing the 2005 DVD for 12 months and that sidetracked the new album" from Robert, we either wont see this or the "new" album till 2011. Hope it is a TV thing where Robert has no input on the timing or the editing of it.

This band is in a classic state of paralysis by analysis (this constant remixing and reanalysis 1 cd, 2 cd, etc). Im all for perfection, but sometime you just have to let things roll.

I would bet a large sum of money that
1) the album will not be out by US tour
2) the US setlist will be the valencia setlist (the euro setlist with a half an hour cut out due to 11pm venue curfews here)

Watch them turn around and play the faith encore tonight just to prove me an idiot

I think you're probably right, though I hope not.  I also will not complain if that's the set they play here.  Could be worse......

maybe they have superceeded 'faith'.. maybe something new tonight?
Of course we wanna hear it, taste it,  but maybe they are tired of the memories..

I can understand that they may be locked into this as a 'performance' and into producing this DVD, and possibly holding up of the new songs/album.

I accept this.
But nothing compares to being there live.
I just wanna concentrate on that there and now.

It is possible that Faith willnot be played,  another encore perhaps? just to mess with us

if it is really recorded for a possible dvd - it is quite a long set already, looks like 2 songs more in the mainset compared to other shows, I just hope that it doesn't mean the last encore will be just BDC/10.15/Arab - was already pissed that they didn't include Grinding Halt on the Trilogy dvd (at least as easter egg...) + if they miss out this opportunity again (same with Jumping) ->

I was not amused while watching the setlist develop.  In fact, [labyrinth] was updating it through most of the mainset, then I took over.  It got to the point where I already had the next song typed out, waiting for confirmation.  That is not a good thing when they are that predictable.  In fact, if the US shows are going to be like this, I'm not all that excited to see them as many times as I am.  Is it worth all of the airfare I will pay for and the hotel nights, rental cars, etc to hear them play the exact same setlist and the exact same BS encores?

I'm happy for those in attendance tonight that they finally played Faith.  But why couldn't they have ditched that crappy BDC/KAA encore and done the entire Faith encore (Holy hour, Other Voices, Drowning Man, Faith).  Even the Kiss Me encore would have been better.

I agree about the 'old school encores'
I would have loved Drowning Man, Other Voices and the Holy Hour.
Maybe what you ask for is what you may just well get , Jeff!
