In fact I'm very curious to know how it sounds without keys... even if I know it wouldn't be the same "magical" song...

this is the problem to me,
i mean...that's the case of a song that needs the keyboards, really.

Steve

The show was spectacular & anyone who slags off Porl in future should have heard him last night.
He was on fire.
& I got the chance to meet some really nice people & party until 5am
@Marika, Stef & Fabian.
Thanks for spending the night with us.
It was a brilliant time & we must do it again sometime. :smth023
Cheers
Steve
I know tomorrow's going to taste like cake

I just came back from Vienna. The concert was very good.
The Gasometer isn't big, the sound was good and loud :). Robert was chatty.
The setlist was good so nothing to complain about it.

Now i'm tired. I'm really looking forward to the concert tomorrow in Munich.
Can't wait!!!

Yes, you're right Steve Porl was awesome yesterday!. I also don't understand why some people slag Porl off.

monghi

Fuc*ing amazing show!!!! with lost of surprises, Robert´s perfect mood although he has a little problem with sound on the stage... look at this video of "lullaby"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9g_9hpSWf5Q

and... few photos from my friend Martin here.

two different shows during 3 days... Prague and Vienna... both so different and both so brilliant!!! It´s very hard to say which one was better...

Anyone know the names of the new songs

the set lists for all shows are posted in the beginning of the gig threads, you can check the names there.

or here (see attachment):

(a bit strange to me that they are still using " " marks there, like they were only working titles...)

i think the audience was the chatty one there - a bit too much, really.
gasometer seems to be a very nice arena indeed, i was really expecting a lot from the gig once i was inside and saw the place - yet yet imo the floor section was way too packed with people, most of whom also seemed to bea bit too drunk even before the concert started. hmm. to be honest  i wouldn't have minded being on the balcony in this gig, imo it wasn't really pleasant in the floor section at all times. i don't mind people reacting to the show or exchanging comments between songs or anything and i don't wish that people stand like half-dead statues or anything, but it kind of starts pissing me off a bit when there's someone shouting something straight into you ear every five seconds from left and right and back and forth. mostly even things that  are completely unrelated to the performance.
a bit more free space left on the floor section would have been a really good idea, imo.

thanks for the great pics!! In the ones monghi has posted, I love number 5...and in number 8, it looks like Robert was looking STRAIGHT at the photographer!
well done, everyone!!

Gasometer is probably the best all-around venue i've been to regularly. Great show, I enjoyed it a lot :smth023

I feel so sad right now...This show was my last from this tour :(

Yes, the audience was chatty. And some were drunk before the show started.
What wasn't good was that people in front of me jump a little bit too enthusiastic. I have nothing against someone who dances at concerts, but that was too much. And i stood at the beginning and inbetween like a sardines in the can.
This was my impression. Once some people hustled. I don't like that also when some are shouting in my ear.

There were two Germans, no Cure Fans, talked about the band. It wasn't positive.
One of them said, that a co-worker of him was a Cure Fans and that she is happy now that she got ride of the band. That sounded to me that the band is let me say a sickness, virus or a really bad thing. And they found it strange that fans travel to the concerts in different city. It sounded so.
I've asked myself, why do they go to a Cure Concert with this attitude.
Would've been better if they didn't buy a ticket. The two very really strange :)

Anyway, they couldn't spoil my mood :D

Thanks for the pictures everyone :)
Thanks for the youtube link monghi :)

there were these two hysterically screaming (and pretty drunk) teenage girls who stumbled right next to me towards the end of the 65dos set. oh god they were a pain... how can some people scream so loud? and even if you can, why do it?? please have some mercy...
anyway, i made sure i had moved pretty far away from them after 65dos finished. then about 15 minutes before the cure started, who suddenly appeared on my left? oh, these two brainless girls - so i quickly had to try and move again... i went almost to the other side of the audience because of them, just to make sure i'm nowhere near them because they were honestly driving me mad, sorry! since the floor was pretty packed with people, it was not so easy to find a new good spot... i managed though - or i thought i had managed. because about two minutes into 'open', just guess who suddenly appeared out of nowhere, screaming and yelling and jumping (and bumping into everyone around them) exactly next to me on my left? :(
again, i had to make a run... which was even more difficult because the show was already on and there was even less room to move in the audience... damn that was annoying! it really took me a couple of songs to recover from this....

like i said, i've nothing against people having fun out there, but stupidity is just pure stupidity, unfortunately.

Oh, i'm sorry japanesebaby. Such a experience can ruin the concert.
Behind me there were some drunk fans and that wasn't amusing at all.
But your thing is really bad. Poor girl :(

I really hope the next concert you will attend will be great and you can enjoy it!!!

drowning

oh my god.
sorry to hear, that the audience was so bad.
normaly they are drunken or shy.
had no problem at any cure concert in austria.

in the austrian press they had the best notes, one of the best concert this year !!

but they didn´t made a soundboard recording like 2000 :((((((
