From Side-Line:

The split would not come as a complete surpise Side-Line was told. "Certainly they wouldn't have triggered another advance because the latest record only sold 150k world wide so that could be a problem", one of our sources said.

150k sales overall ?

Who´s to blame ?

The band, the record company ?

I think 4:13 Dream isn´t bad at all for just sell this poor amount..

What do you think ?

it was badly advertised (or in many places, like for instance where i live, not advertised one bit). so who went to buy it but more or less die-hards fans? at least here, nobody. because people didn't even know about it(!).

then add to that that the album sounds absolutely terrible, whatever the quality of the songwriting was. so it was on many "don't buy this album, don't waste your money" lists on internet a week after it came out - and sad but true to say but righteously so.
that kind of thing is not good for your word-to-mouth reputation (which i think matters quite a lot these days).
so, i'm really not too surprised it did so badly. :/

i'm just glad to hear they'll be leaving universal. it was nothing but a crap deal from the beginning. just hope they don't end up out of the frying pan and into the fire.
good luck to them!  :smth023

maybe they'll turn into a band that only releases self promoted albums or EPs. That would be cool... a string of 5 track EPs would make my year...
