I am looking for the score to 'Closedown.' Not, an arrangement for piano but an actual score of how each instrument was performed on Disintegration. Does anyone out there know how to find this?

Try contacting Roger via his website...

At first I thought you couldn't possibly be serious! Then I saw that he actually has an email address posted on his site. So I gave it a shot. It would be very cool if that worked out! cheers

he seems to interact a little or a lot with his fans. seems like a nice bloke too.. prob best to keep away from the "why did robert fire you?" questions.. . that's probably still a touchy subject

uyou could try Perry too, but last stalkyphoto i saw he was travelling europe or something!!

Descent

Perry is in Asia (Vietnam or Thailand, can't remember). Probably street fighting for a living.

Good luck with that, but I kind of have doubts that any members keep complete scores of their music. However, Roger would probably be more likely to have this kind of thing than anyone else.

There is a Disintegration "guitar" book (although it does contain standard notation for several different instruments):

It's definitely better than those "arranged for piano" books you mention. It contains multiple parts for each song, but the authors always pick and choose what parts they choose to transcribe, and as I mentioned once before there can be some mistakes/inaccuracies. But it is a good guideline, I suppose...

And I do know that the Closedown transcription in the Disintegration book is fairly decent, so maybe this could help you after all.

Despite their potential shortcomings, I'd recommend getting these books to just about any fan since they contain some nice full-page photos that don't seem to be available anywhere else...

Thank you for the suggestions. Never heard back from Roger. I'm considering buying the guitar book.

I also have a midi file of the song and may buy a program, MusicWrite Maestro, that takes midi files and spits out sheet music.

However, I've been making great progress just using my ears! So, I may be able to finish the choreography without the sheet music. Its been great learning experience regardless.

Thank you Lostflower4 for the info on the Disintegration book. I was planning to buy it on Ebay but there's been quite a bidding war on it. I wonder if you made it popular by posting it on this site! If its a Curefans member that buys it, perhaps they can send me a copy of Closedown. hint hint!

You know, I was actually wondering about that — if I drew extra attention to it by giving it a public recommendation. If so, sorry about that...

Well, it does seem to be a pretty rare item. After scouring the internet, the eBay auction is the only place I could find it. That certainly wasn't the case 10-15 years ago, when you could get it just about anywhere for around $15.

Holy crap, just checked the auction... That's insane! I wonder if the Staring at the Sea and Wish books are worth that much now?

P.S.  Want to buy my Disintegration book for $102? I think that's a "bargain" compared to the current going rate.  :P
